I learned making furniture as a profession, the only thing that did catch my eye was pretty much that you do a lot different if you work with an budget (mostly due to recycling used wood) and not doing dowels and mechanical connections, but that is more an matter of physolophy than skill. Most frustrating is that one has to use so many shortcuts and prefabricated today to sell at an price people consider right (because they throw it away after five years to buy new then fashionable furniture again for cheap)

Whenever I see a new video is posted, it's a huge event for me. I wait til the kid and wife are asleep, I get snacks and a drink and settle in so I can watch it in peace with no interruptions. This is by far my most favorite channel to follow because all of the content is treasure. The design and detailing is of course very impressive, but the dedication it must take to even face performing the work is super human. Watching the first couple of minutes of just getting the original planks milled down to workable material, it's such a contrast to the amazing quality of the last few minutes, when the finishing touches are applied. In this video, every time I thought, well it's about to wrap up...nope. Here comes even more detail work, and more, and more. Hats off to you sir, your efforts are worth the wait between releases, and everything is so rewatchable. If I could wish for anything for you, it would be that you never run out of inspiration to create more of these "riveting" videos.

Why do I love this video? Let me count the ways: 1. You show just enough of each step for your viewers to understand it with no mind numbing repetitions. 2. You seamlessly mix modern machine tool work with ancient craft skills. 3. Your facility with each fabrication step is mind numbing. 4. Because the only sound is that of the work, there is no discussion of "Me, I or You should." 5. You do not promote sponsors. machines, consumables or vendors. You can do more of these!

I can't imagine how many hours went into just the design! Then, how many more in the execution? It is mind-boggling. This is the kind of work the old masters of art and architecture would take on, knowing it could take years to complete. The great sculptures of the Baroque and Renaissance. The frescos of Michaelangelo, the flying machines of DaVinci. We love and enjoy them all yet today. I'm sure this piece will stand the test of time as well. I sure hope you put a maker's plate on this piece so people will have the provenance 10 generations from now! Incredible work!!
