A Tribute to Carley McCord (1989-2019)

This is a tribute to fallen New Orleans sports reporter Carley McCord.
Mrs. McCord, age 30, tragically lost her life in a plane crash along with 4 others in Lafayette, Louisiana while they were on their way to the Peach Bowl College Football Playoff game in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a sports reporter for WDSU, Cox Sports Television (CST), and ESPN, as well as an in-arena host for New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) and New Orleans Saints (NFL) games. Carley may have been taken from us too soon, but her career and legacy will forever be in the hearts of the people of New Orleans, including their sports fans.
My condolences go out to everyone at WDSU, Cox Cable, ESPN, the Saints and Pelicans organizations, as well as her friends, family, and everyone else that knew her.
