As a child, I idolized Mario and Luigi. No matter what weird shit came their way, they accepted it, and dealt with it. I beat 1, 2, 3 and World a hundred times. Then 64, Sunshine and Galaxy. Odyssey made me cry with it's first trailer. Even being born in 99, I begged my mom for the Super Show, Adventures of 3, World and even the fuckin' movie on VHS/DVD, and I watched them on repeat. March 10th has always been important to me, my birthday actually happens to be March 8th. Now, I'm blue collar, working in mundane construction, in my rundown and almost hopeless town, and I don't feel bad about it for a second, because these men taught me the value of being a good person.

Having played Mario Bros and Super Mario Bros on a physical NES, before playing many fan games and flash games and eventually figuring out how to emulate roms on PC, and I'd always go to Mario, I pretty much knew alot of what there is to know about the franchise, and I, too, watched the shows and movie. This is so charming. As silly as it sounds about such simple mascot characters, when I was a kid I honestly looked up to Mario and Luigi (largely influenced by their depiction in the old cartoons and comics) and wanted to be like them when I grew up; Brave, but kind. Confident, but willing to laugh at themselves. Earnest, hard workers but also totally down for a relaxing day of parties and pasta. This vocal cover captures the spirit of the Mario Bros. as I always saw them growing up. I love it.

The lyrics make so much sense! I like how you made the lyrics relate to what Mario and Luigi do and the years of saving Princess Peach or their friends including thereselves. Like when Luigi stumbled across a creepy and haunted mansion which he thought was a reward in a game show. Professor E. Gadd told Luigi to go into the Mansion to save Mario. And through the mansion, he found courage and lead him to learning that fear doesn't get you anywhere in life and that you have to overcome your fears every now and then or when Mario saved Princess Peach so many times that he learned that heroism can make a big difference in life. Video Game companies really did take some time and effort to come up with Morals of their games including Sonic 3 & Knuckles that teaches you to not let people trick you into thinking wrong or in Mega Man 9 that blamming others isn't right and that you should acknowledge them instead of getting them into more trouble that they've witnessed in their past lives. Great vocals dude! Nintendo should definitely hire you!
