I think Elden Ring got more praise than it deserved. It had issues. Still does. It's certainly the most refined version of this formula that FromSoftware has made. But it's still very much the same formula we've played with since 2009. I'm ready for a big change. All of that said, I still think this was an incredible experience and wish I could relive those first couple weeks. The feeling of taking the day off work, eating breakfast while watching the install progress...then finally playing it for several hours...exploring Limgrave...getting transported to the Sellia cave...starting as a Wretch and just scavenging whatever I could find, switching weapons to deal with different situations, finding cool items to give me a boost until my build started coming together...yeah, there are a lot of good feelings from just the beginning. I'll always appreciate the game for giving me that core memory.

Haven't played elden ring yet, and still prolly wouldn't even if I was able to because I know I'd get completely consumed and I'm trying really hard to do good in uni. But God damn doesn't my soul vibrate with excitement every time I hear the word "Tarnished" or "Flame of ambition". Literally watch the trailer everytime I need some motivation. I cannot wait the day I can just sit and play Elden Ring all day along with the whole Soulsborne saga(only played Sekiro and loved it). It is really great to see everyone having a blast with the game and fills me with hope for gaming in general. Thanks for all your content Vaati(tho I don't watch much of it because of spoilers), you're the man and doing God's work. And I hope have a Grace-filled rest of the day and year.
