I was one of the early young persons to go to Calvary. I was 19 and remember seeing the cute young, barefoot guy and I knew this a different kind of gathering. On my second time going there I said yes to Jesus. Pastor Chuck looked in my direction and on that occasion he did not ask those who just asked Jesus to come in to their heart. I would not have gone forward due to crying and my embarrassment and by not going forward I would have been devastated and defeated before I even got started on my walk. I am now 70 and so am still walking with my Lord. Thanks Calvary, Pastor Chuck and that beautiful smile and for being a godly father figure to us, especially to us who did not have that.

My cousin knocked at my door in 1969. He said, I want you to come with me to Calvary Chapel. We gotta get there an hour early or we won’t find a seat. We got there in time to find a seat on the floor (center aisle). We sang scripture songs a cappella for an hour. Then Chuck Smith taught the Bible for an hour. My walk with Jesus was taken to a whole new level that night.

I grew in faith by listening to Chuck Smith, at a time when so much error was being taught. God led me to Chuck Smith’s teaching in 1977 and I’m still a faithful believer in Jesus 46 years later. Thank God for Chuck’s faithfulness to God’s Word. I look forward to meeting him when I face the Christ who rescues us.

I was in the Navy when the Jesus Revolution was going on in Costa Mesa. But being out to sea didn’t stop it. Miraculously everyone in my shop got saved through various people and churches. After I got out of the Navy I got a job in So. CA and my wife and I were invited to this startup church (Calvary Chapel ) meeting in the senior center. The building was full and the music was awesome. Then a young long haired man got up and taught verse by verse. I never heard the Bible taught this way. I was blown away and hung on every word he uttered. My life was changed completely and I couldn’t get enough. Now I’m 73 and still love the Lord as much as I did back then.

I was a hippie in 1967/68, all the way on the east coast, Norfolk_Virginia Beach, and an artist friend told me what was happening with the Jesus people in California, people being saved and healed. That news led me to look for Jesus like that which miracously led me a gigantic encounter with God and salvation though Jesus Christ. PTL

Gonna sound crazy. I was once so depressed and at the end as a young adult, I was working at a restaurant and heard a radio contest to win some tickets and I literally said to God, "I'm gonna call to enter this contest and if you still love me or even exist I need to win or I will take that as a sign it's time to end my life." I'm still here. I won the tickets! That started me on a journey to finding Jesus!!

Was saved in Huntington Beach in the spring or summer of 1973 after being invited to a Christian concert in the old circus tent in Costa Mesa by street evangelists. Afterwards I lived in the communes of the Philadelphia House in Huntington Beach and then named a deacon at the House of Psalms in Santa Ana by Pastor Steven Mays. Eventually got married at Calvary Chapel to my wife Linda by Romaine in 1974. Pastor Steven was best man. Also baptized by Pastor Chuck at Corona Del Mar beach. Eventually returned to Oklahoma.

I was a troubled rocker in the 90’s my antenna got ripped off my car in Mexico .. The only station I could get was K wave I remember vividly the commercials if any man be in Christ he is new creation. I would listen sometimes and every time Chuck Smith came on wow the power felt like he was talking to me. Changed my life Completely. I love Pastor Chuck and he dedicated my daughter back in 1992 💜💫🙏🏼🌈

Oh man. Thank you Chuck for having a hearrt for souls and being obedient to Christ. I am weeping..... Oh God, revive us again! Thank you for what you are doing today in Asbury KY, in TN, and through Mario Murillo and others in this hour. I pray that You move in a way that cannot be denied and spread Your fire anew across this land once more. Forgive us, your people of the United States, for our apathy and idolatry and turn our hearts back to you. Have Your way. May we make room for Your presence. Help us to receive You. Please help us to be open to the leading of Your Spirit and then to follow Your lead, throwing out all the agendas of man. We need you. Help us be the best we can be for You, for Your purpose, according to what You have called us to. We need YOU!

I accepted Christ at Calvary chapel, was baptized by Pastor Chuck in pirates Cove, my three children were dedicated to Christ by Pastor Chuck. Besides Sunday we went on Thursday night for the through the Bible series. I remember sitting on the floor, I always liked to be upfront so that I can get lost in his teaching. To this day, I still miss and cannot find a pastor like him. Very special memories.

Accepted Christ as Saviour at 16 years old in April 1982 at at Saturday night concert Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with Undercover Band. Randy Zeigler came out after Undercover band finished and gave alter call, and God the Father brought me to His Holy Son Jesus Christ and made me a child of God. Thanks to my good friend Howard Kim who brought me to that concert that night. From then on i attended Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Chuck Smith never died, no believers do, we just pass on to be with Lord Jesus Christ forever.

I came across Pastor Chuck Smith back in the late 1980s. There was a cable channel that had nonstop Christian programming, and I was taken in by his friendly smile and the Bible study on Revelation. He was one of several pastors that helped to solidify my walk with Jesus. I look back fondly on his ministry and what many of the fruits of his labor in the Calvary Chapels that spread out in the Western and Mountain states. It's nice to know that he is with the Lord now, and I look forward to seeing him soon. God bless you all who carry on the race that God, and Chuck set before you in this troubled world. Jesus is coming soon! Hallelujah, Amen!

You were never “lost”, but now you are delusional in your spiritual thinking & expectations. The ZERO integrity Bible. Therefore, arguing biblical doctrines is a fruitless & never ending endeavor. Integrity is Truthfulness & trustworthiness. NO integrity is dishonesty, lies & deception & falsehood. Here are a Few Examples of biblical contradictions. This shows us that the Bible is in fact erroneous & fallible, and therefore, NOT the word of God, but lousy LIES written by dirty rotten scoundrels known as Chaldeans. 1. Resurrection to life??? “People die, NEVER to RISE. They will NEVER WAKE UP while the sky endures; they will NEVER stir from their sleep.” ‭‭Job‬ ‭14‬:‭12‬ & Psalms 6:5 vs. “Your dead shall live; Together with my deceased body they shall ARISE. AWAKE and sing, you who dwell in dust;*” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭19‬ 2. Will God forsake us??? The Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will NOT leave you NOR FORSAKE you.”” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭6‬ vs. “I, will utterly FORGET YOU and FORSAKE YOU, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and will cast you out of My presence.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭23‬:‭39‬ Even Jesus, “Gods only begotten son” was forsaken by “God”. “And Jesus cried out saying “My God, My God, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?”” Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭46‬ These two examples also show us that “God” DOES change His mind from time to time, which means that the following verse in the book of Malachi is also a lie. ““For I am the Lord, I do NOT CHANGE.” ‭‭Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ So then why do religious leaders, and your “Pastor”, or “Shepherd” insist that the Bible is without any errs/fallacies & is the truthful word of God??? AND, IF anyone questions, or denounces the Bible’s messages as fraudulent & plagiarized LIES, its writers wrote additional mitigating lies to discredit, shame & demonize anyone daring to speak out against them, with verses like these: 2 Timothy 3:16 “ALL scripture is Gods word”. & 2 Peter 3:4-4 “knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “WHERE is the PROMISE of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”” II Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ & “WHOEVER teaches a DIFFERENT doctrine and does not agree with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the TEACHING of OUR RELIGION is swollen with pride and KNOWS NOTHING. He has an unhealthy desire to argue and quarrel about words, and this brings on jealousy, disputes, insults, evil suspicions, and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is a way to become rich.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ You see, These Chaldeans have been deceiving the masses far before Genesis, Moses & Jesus. Go to history dot come & search for Mesopotamia & Chaldeans just to familiarize yourselves with the founders & writers of the Bible (“Father Abraham, Isaac & Jacob”. Ask your pastors to explain how it’s possible that the Bible can contradict its own messages & still be “Gods true word”??? You see, if the Bible is full of contradictions & LIES, why would anyone believe any of its stories, prophecies & promises??? Fortunately for the world, the Bible is NOT the real deal, and neither are its doctrines, or “prophecies”. The only true doctrine & “prophecy” that can save us is to LOVE & respect self, and all people! Pastors, It is required that you & your flock be prepared to respond to any criticism of your Lord & his salvation… “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always BE READY to GIVE A DEFENSE to EVERYONE WHO ASKS YOU a reason for the HOPE that is in YOU, with meekness and fear;” I Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬ Silence is NOT an option for the faithful!

Pastor Chuck and CCCM had a huge place in my life as a Christian. I must confess that I was so disappointed in how everything was handled at CCCM after his passing, and it is a good reminder to not put faith in anything or anyone down here on earth, because we're flawed and people can be deluded. I'm disappointed in a couple of the people they let speak on this video, but at least they're praising how God used Chuck and not pushing their agenda. Yet to this day, whenever I hear Chuck's voice, whether teaching or singing, I sense God's presence and know that without a doubt, God used this man powerfully, and he was faithful to his calling.

Heard about the 'Jesus Movement' when I was in the military during the 70's. I eventually moved to so. cali. when I got out of the navy, started listening to KWAVE Christian radio and found myself in one of the Calvary Chapel churches. I had never been exposed to chapter-chapter, verse-verse expository teaching before. It touched my soul, I became born-again and will forever be tied to a Calvary chapel church. I totally enjoyed Pastor Chuck's ministry, having heard him teach/preach on many occasions. Thank you Lord fork planting the seed that opened my eyes and heart during the early days of the Jesus Movement.

I can't wait to see the Movie.. As I was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1986. When I never heard of such a thing in all my life of going to Church's. It just happened. Why trying to live for God under the law, was not cutting it for the first 26 years of my. Then I found Chuck Smith on TV and would watch him and listen. Later on I would call in to his radio program and ask questions. He was the real deal. You could give him your most prized treasures for safe keeping. And you knew when you come back he had them...I hope God raises up someone else that has his patients. As he served God by severing others. As God asked us too do...

Nothing can STOP THE POWER OF GOD. Through Chuck Smith I was baptized again in Christ Jesus as an adult. In Fortlaudale Florida through Calvary Chapel Fortlaudale when they were just in a warehouse. In 1995 I was welcome there by no one but I felt the Holy Spirit welcome me also. I was saved at Christ Lutheran Church.. but my life was transformed by my experience at Calvary Chapel. I took three classes there "Managing money God's way" "The fallacies of evolution " and " getting along better with others " .. I was hungry for the word! God blessed me so much there. The first miracle I witnessed there was the multitudes of young people my age early twenties hungry for the word and being blessed there coming solely on their OWN not because they were coming to an Easter or Christmas service with their parents but ON THEIR OWN ACCORD HAPPY, welcome, and hungry for more spiritual food. May God Always Bless the work Chuck Smith started and renew all hearts to love and follow OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST... AMEN. ✝️ Yours in Christ Jesus, Wayne

I came to know him teaching the bible after he moved to heaven. And the way he taught was so easy to understand and has been something I listen to daily to his sermons. God blessed us with him.

The song 'Let us be one in You' is so appropriate these days when people are so fragmented. There is one church, the body of Christ...period. Chuck was my high school teacher at Riverside Christian High just before he started Calvary Chapel, and a few years later, when some kids took me to a baptism in OC, it was Chuck and he invited me to live in Mansion Messiah, one of two (I think) houses they had at the beginning. I haven't gone to Calvary Chapel for years but I still am part of the body of Christ and still have wonderful memories of Chuck. He was just as humble, kind and loving when he was teaching at a tiny Christian school with a graduating class of less than 10, or as lead pastor at Calvary Chapel. Don't let defending what you believe is right doctrine turn you into a Pharisee. We can and should study the Bible daily. Study and do what the Bible says; don't depend on any leader or church to tell you what the Bible says. It's your responsibility before God to know what the Bible says and God gave Christians the Holy Spirit to teach them. I saw love, faith and lots and lots of new Christians while at Calvary Chapel. Thanks, Chuck for your faithfulness and love for Jesus. I still remember Irma, Michelle, Peter, and the kids who would come in stoned and lost and we would lead them to Christ and see them change into new creatures in Christ, and how Michelle, Steven Toth and some others were going up to Tualatin (sp?), Oregon, to start a Christian house there. I hope they're all still following Jesus. It was a beautiful time. Maiden name: Diane Simonson. Are any of you guys out there? I went to Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland after our time there.

AMEN I wonder what JESUS would say about Calvary today. Smh Pastor David Rosalez of chino you refused to dedicate my infant to the LORD. We gave more than most in your church and one day my husband went overseas. I asked for help for food ( 1 box). And was told they could help me once in a life time. Thanks 2 u me and my kids turned away. Pastor Chuck would have never done that. What is the church doing today for the homeless? And drug addicts?

Great opening. Took me back to being a 16-yr Jesus Freak from HB, and Papa Chuck baptized me in July 1973 at Pirate's Cove with as many back then as our beloved Pastor Jack Hibbs does with the other pastors even now. This was a great video except for the fact that you put Rick Warren in it - Rick who fell away and kissed the Qu'Ran and aligned himself with Chris-lam and the Vatican. You really should remove Rick and put in Pastors JD Farag, Jack Hibbs, Barry Stagner, Tom Hughes and others who have brought hundreds of thousands to the Throne of God and His Forgiveness.
