Great tribute to a truly unique talented entertainer. Never beaten or equalled. And he did it all in English and Cymraeg. Cofio clywed y newyddion, merch ysgol ond mae'f cof yn glir. I was stationed briefly at RAF Box during my National Service with a lot of Welshmen. When you play this tribute you will know why I treasure the memory of one of them: a genius who died far too young. One winter evening Ryan Davies came into my room with an unusual request. He had a date with a girl in Bath but found himself short of a item of clean clothing. I still remember, 68 years later, that extraordinary face and that beautiful, musical, deep Welsh voice and hear him now asking, "You gotta vest?" Rev Mike Walling. Canterbury
