2:25 - this is the monument of liberty, erected in 1909, long before the USSR even existed and 40 years before Bulgaria became communist either. It was even designed by an Italian architect - Arnaldo Zocchi. He also designed some other monuments in Bulgaria including the one in front of the parliament in Sofia. Interesting fact though: The Leonardo Da Vinci statue in the Rome airport was designed by a Bulgarian on the other hand haha. And there's a small square just next to the Colloseum named in his honour - Largo Assen Peikov.
