Glad to hear AW&S is making an attempt to step up the quality Slick. I have 2, the barlow you gifted me & a recent purchase of the Tackler. The only issue with the barlow "was" blade centering, which is now fixed. And the Tackler is near perfect. However, I did have to return the 4" Lambsfoot I wanted so desperately & hope to try again soon. I've had comments where some subscribers have had serious issues with blade wobble, especially those made of horn. I hope they are aware of this & are taking steps to tighten things up. I love that Senator pattern by the way.🙏✌️ Triumvirate: a group of three powerful or notable people or things existing in relation to each other.

Great video as always Slick, it's always interesting and good to see other makers work to see how things differ, i'm looking forward to seeing more A.wright ones and hopefully seeing an ongoing improvement with the work they produce and keep moving forward and not go back to the old ways, always a pleasure to watch take care :)

Have you seen their basic Senators? Or a basic Senator with a Tackler blade? I have one on my channel and quite enjoy it as a budget carry!

I’ll take a look. I like the Senator as a pattern, and particularly the stag one, but the other two are a bit inconsistent (pre-Harrison’s).

My Taylor's Eye Witness Barlow in Ox horn showed up yesterday . Oh my Lord is it beautiful . I think I'm in trouble Slick . Already thinking about the gentleman's folder they make . Lee White is a master craftsman .

Thanks for the discussion on Arthur Wright knives. I guess as quality improves so will the price, but it's great they are there and I can only wish the Harrisons the best in making it all work with their drive for improvements. This is all good news for these knives and Arthur Wright.

Stone Mason perhaps marginally, but they make regular users, not fancy collector’s pieces, so they should remain reasonable. They do also do special orders which are both fancy and expensive, and very good for that matter, but they’re not the production pieces.

I have solved the bell problem at last! I unsubscribed, went back to one of your early videos, re-subscribed and was able to turn on the bell. I still don't understand it but at least the problem is solved finally.

I went the whole hog (translate: ultra posh) on my A. Wright Ironwood. It was made to order and it's a beauty. Good on Ashley. In the future, however, you might want to package a $200 knife in something more than tissue.

Interesting video. I recently bought an A Wright Barlow and it was pretty shocking - gaps, uneven transitions and so stiff to open you really needed pliers. I'm pleased to hear they are trying to raise the quality as I'd love to buy British, but the Barlow makes the decision hard.
