Great job making that knives. I just got almost done making a knife out of a horseshoer's rasp. I still need to do the final sharpening on my 6" belt sander. I wanted to put the brass lanyard pin in the end of the handle like you did but I had to settle for 4 brass screws because of a stupid mistake while sanding. I made my own sheath that turned out ok ( not my best work). All in all it's 75% to your 100% perfection. It's stout. I also have a large Old Nickelson that I have cut out and will be working on next. It's 1/8 of an inch thick and now I have some great ideas because of your video. I found both files metal detecting in 1985 here close to home.

Thumbs way up! Fantastic job. It meant so much to me to have a hand made knife and sheath passed on to me as a teenager. Unfortunately, it was stolen in a burglary as an adult. Awesome skills. I purchased several machete style knives along with bowie style when on assignment in the Philippines in the early 80's when in the Army. The locals would scavenge the brass canisters from 105mm howitzers to use for adorning the handles. Blades made from truck leaf springs. No special tools or equipment. Also make butterfly knives. Skills like yours must be passed on to next generation. Sir, I salute you
