Can we take a moment to appreciate the incredible job Jack is doing with the camera angles? I mean, some sequences have 3, 4 angles which require Jack to go back several times to adjust the camera. You may think that should be the default setting for youtubers, but not everybody does something more than the usual camera in hand. Bravo Jack, good job.

Well. Hallelujah. Thanks for noticing. haha. As a solo traveler, and hence solo vlogger, it does take time to get fluid imagery. So yes, that means filming myself from different angles (doing exactly the same thing) and then trying to edit it in such a way no one notices it. For now, I still film multiple angles in secluded places. But can you imagine me doing this on a busy market square ??!!

Brel and Magrite came to mind instantly... For the 3rd I had to think a bit untill the ''Muscles from Brussels'' popped into my head - JC van Damme.

Hi Jack. I guess a place you might like is New Zealand. Even in the capital, in general there are a few people on the streets, not a lot of traffic and lots and lots of natural beauty. Talking about beauty, the color of your eyes at the end of the video looked so good and the piano music you used was so nice... It's interesting, I know the German people have this fame of being rude, but the people from Germany that I met were so lovely (maybe I was lucky). And after you mentioned it, I realized that I only met one Belgium guy in my life, it seems that your country is indeed a bit "obscure."

I would so love to explore New Zealand one day - were there not my fear of flying. And I guess teleportation is not an option quite yet ! Since you are a lover of music - here's a famous Belgian for ya: Adolphe Sax - you guessed it - inventor of the saxophone !!

Being a former racing cyclist having spent time in Belgium & Holland racing, the most famous Belgium in my mind was always Eddy Merckx. Miss those days, great memories. Very fond of both countries 😊
@jackvandean4 ай бұрын
of course. Merckx - an icon. I think a Belgian cyclist also just scored gold at the Olympics. And if you're into Tennis, we have Clijsters and Henin of course
@keepitreal15474 ай бұрын
@@jackvandean Remco Evenopoel did a first ever at the Olympics. Gold in the elite individual time trial & Gold in the elite Road race. An amazing talent, very mature for his young age & well educated. Speaks 4 languages fluently & others. He gave up as a professional 19yr old football player, to become a professional cyclist. He's from Alst in Belgium & Belgium is still the home of world cycling, in my opinion.

@@jackvandean I am a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, so I knew about her. I grew up reading Tintin (d'aprés Hergé) and Magritte came from art school. I will say though, those were the only names that did spring to mind. Oh and Jaco Van Dormael, who directed "Toto Le Heros", a film I fondly remember from the early 90s.
