I made this tonight for dinner. My first attempt at one of your recipes. When I first attempted to make sweet and sour pork using another recipe 2 years ago ... lets just say, the dogs had a good feed. Tonight, I reigned as Queen of the kitchen! My hubby who normally tells me to ' stick to cooking what you know' ... tonight said 'That was restaurant quality. I ate waaaay more than I should have.' Needless to say, I will be trying lots more of your recipes!!! Thank you x

Made this tonight. My husband loved it. Reduced the amount of sugar substantially; the pineapple gave enough sweetness. Thank you.

Hey there!👋 Just found your channel. Cooked your Tuscan chicken . . . with a drumstick twist, whizzed the capsicum/onion/garlic (but not TOO much). Had to use coconut cream this time. FABULOUS!! Friday night dinner this S&S pork? Mmmm. Yummy. ❤️From Aus xx

I don't know if you can them your way, but a Farmer's Market outlet near me Birchingto, Kent, UK sell pork spare rib chops. For the size of a good sirloin or rib eye beef steak (£5-£6),, they cost under £2 and cook as tender as the beef. They are also more tolerant to long cooking, and are great griddled\BBQd. Ireckon they would be great in this recipe as an extra treat.

I'd deep fry the pork and make it into more a batter versus dry and wet dipping. Also if you're just going to cook it all together in there you don't need to bread and fry the chicken at all. Just use regular unbattered chicken cut into chunks because it's going to get soggy anyways.

i quite like this pan-fried version and not deepfried wonder if an airfryer can achieve similar results !

Hi Nicky, I’ve been enjoying your videos for some time now (my fav recipe is the Tuscan Chicken which you liked on my Instagram 🙂) and finally plucked up the courage to start my own food channel last month! It’s so tough not to get demotivated in the early days - I’m wondering if you have any plans to share your KZbin success story in a video? I’d love to hear about your journey and any tips you have to help grow in the early days! Thanks and best wishes, Annabel

I'd say basically anything in the way of crunchy vegetables... Sliced bambooshoots, sliced water chestnuts, maybe zucchini cut into chunks (but add that at the last minute, to preserve the crunchiness), broccoli cut into small pieces... Basically any crunchy veg that isn't too overpowering should do the trick.

You DO NOT EVER put KETCHUP or a tomato product in Sweet and Sour. The ancient Polynesians and Chinese did not have Tomatoes or anyone else in the Eastern hemisphere until the 1800's.
