Lived on Spitfire Way on (what was) the new estate in Tunstall for a while. Massive image of Spitfire paved into the side of the hill there. Was lovely.

I went to Reginald Mitchell primary school. Every year on his birthday, we would have our own flyover from spitfires. Shame they don't do it now. But the spitfire was not designed in Stoke.

my hometown- this plane used to be in a big greenhouse that was opposite where the museum is- I used to love the museum, bobbed school just to hang out in there all day!

So it wasn't "invented" in stoke. It was designed by a guy who lived in a different town 😂 Stoke is such a shithole 😂
