Still looks way better and organised than 1st tier Indian cities.

True. Some villages in India are still stuck in the 18th century.

I have actually heard of this one! Mostly because of the Giant Buddha, which is very famous. I am always surprised that there are "fourth tier" cities that are so obscure, but bigger than any place I've ever lived, and maybe more prosperous. And without question better places to go out for lunch! Once I see the local market I'm usually ready to move there, wherever it is! People in general seem to be doing pretty well in China! There are just hundreds of these videos, and the sight of throngs of people out shopping or just milling around is so amazing to someone in the US. This is so rare here, if you have a crowd it's because of a holiday or event, and you need a lot of extra police. People don't feel safe around a bunch of their fellow citizens! I would not go for a walk at night where I live, generally speaking. In the day there's sure nothing to walk to, nobody frying things on the sidewalk in most places, anyone you meet just walking (if they aren't walking a dog) might be up to no good, they might ask you for money... they might demand it!

I agree that it is amazing, all these cities, and in NZ I think our TOTAL population is about 5 million, our biggest city of Auckland has about 1.7 million. What is pretty impressive is the list of what facilities (schools, hospitals etc.) there are at the beginning of the video. I have been to China and mixed with ordinary Chinese people and I agree that their lives are pretty good. They work happily and hard so I think they deserve it. I felt safe wherever I went, walking at all hours in the non-tourist areas of various places all over the country. I love living in NZ but if I was forced to move to another country I would like to live in China. I'm sad for your life in the US it must be terrible to live in a place where you feel unsafe to walk on your own streets.

Anybody know why they paint the bottoms' of some trees the color white?

I think it’s some sort of pest control for trees.

@@texaslulu Maybe. But insects can land all over the trees.

It is also for trunk temperature control.

@@dannybee6677mostly pest will root in 1 meter below ground you can not actually control every thing, thats thing works thats enough this kind of things are everywhere in Chinese city, especially useful for northern Asian species, pest did not find there home in the root of a tree will hardly survive winter
