Hi guys, welcome to my channel. Today, I will show you a fourth-tier city in China. Fourth-tier cities in China are generally medium-sized cities with ordinary levels of urban development, economic and social progress, and transportation infrastructure. Most of these cities are at the prefecture level.
The economic and social development of fourth-tier cities often relies on local small and medium-sized enterprises or resource-based industries. The residents' consumption levels are in a growing phase, and in the regional strategic layout of major corporations and brands, fourth-tier cities often depend on the influence of regional central cities. There are a total of 90 fourth-tier cities in China.
Today, I'll be showcasing Baoji City. Baoji City, located in the northwest of Shaanxi Province, China, lies in the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains, between the Yellow River and the Yangtze River basin. It covers a total area of approximately 18,000 square kilometers. Baoji has a long history, with over 2,700 years of urban development. In ancient times, Baoji was one of the important political, economic, and cultural centers in Chinese history, boasting rich historical and cultural heritage. In terms of population, Baoji City has around 3.2 million inhabitants. Economically, Baoji City has a GDP of approximately 40 billion US dollars and is one of the key industrial bases in Shaanxi Province, mainly focusing on energy, chemicals, machinery, and building materials industries. Additionally, agriculture plays a significant role in Baoji's economy, benefiting from fertile land and abundant agricultural products, particularly apples and kiwifruits.
Due to time constraints, the video will only cover a part of this city. If you have any questions or suggestions about the video content, please feel free to comment. Thank you.
