Making tangible things right cleared my head for my "real" job, plus every dollar my company didn't have to spend was a dollar my department raised for services by default. Our CFO recognized it by adding a line for it in the Board report. I admit I did it mostly for personal satisfaction, though.)

Good job. It is nice to see you working when your not working. Nice shot of the Blue Angels. Thanks for posting. I live about 15 miles from the West Coast home for the F18s and FA18s as well as the new F35s. The Blue Angels have flown over the house several time while practicing for several of their shows at the base. F18s fly over the house all the time. Sometimes you see them and most times you just hear them. However, the best fly overs are the times when the pilots come home from there deployment out on the carriers and in full formation they always fly right over the house low and slow and loud as they make their way over to the base to be greeted by family and friends. Now that is a sight to know that they all made it home safely

2 kinds of concrete in the world. Cracked concrete and concrete that's gonna crack

Mine all seems to be the second kind.

@@gtoger Here in the upper Midwest, our concrete looks good . . . until after it's first winter! Then it is surface #2.

When I was a kid here in the Midwest (70s) we had some tar strips in the driveway between sections to allow expansion. When I had my driveway poured about 12 years ago I asked about those and was told they weren't necessary anymore. Of course it has a lot of cracks now.

@@nickelvan Makes you think the old timers knew what they were doing! There was a fiberous material installed between pours of concrete, and it was then covered over with tar. It took more time and was messy and needed periodic maintenance, additional tarring, so is not done anymore. It didn't crack and break like the continuous pours they do today because it allowed for expansion and contraction.

I am so glad I am not the only on who has an oddly satisfied reaction to pressure washing. My ex-husband once got me a pressure washer for a Valentines Day gift. I was ecstatic.

blue angels are great. Years ago, I lived in an apartment in Sunnvale CA not far from Moffett NAS, which is no longer a naval air station but still called Moffett Federal Airport. One July 4 annual air show day, I was minding my own business sitting chatting on the phone with a friend who lived a few miles away in the same town. We had to stop our convo because as soon oas the planes buzzed over my apartment building, they managed to get to Kate's house in abt 2 seconds, and neither of us could hear anything. So I went outside to watch the show from in front of the apartment building. WAs a blast watching them fly off over downtown Sunnyvale, with their various formations. At one point, 4 of them formed a diamond as they flew over the city center, and the fifth soon caught up and became the tail on the kite. So the manager of the apartment was there, and she asked, "where's the 6th?" About then, he came buzzing over, barely above the rooftops of the 2-story apartments, and FLEW DOWN OUR STREET at right angles to it. Close enough we could make out his facial features. So we told her, after he flew off, "You know now, huh?"

Use safety glasses next time with the power washer ! Doesn't take much for a piece of dirt or rock to be thrown back into your face!

I thoroughly enjoyed this content. I've spent years doing renovations. It makes me happy to see maintenance done. I can solve or alert one to issues that need attention. A quick, or even long repair is always more cost effective than redoing a whole "thing". It's amazing what a pressure washer can do to a place. Nice work. Finally, your cat needs a shrink - very uncatlike!! Keep up the great content.
