Venture capitalists are expert at understanding what innovations are worth investing in. Their insights as to what is likely to make a product successful should be compelling reading for any MedTech entrepreneur.
In this presentation, Callum Bir, will demystify the world of funding for active MedTech projects. The first part of the presentation will explain the various pathways to market and how to scale your business. If you have ever wondered what the difference is between an incubator, and accelerator or a venture studio, all such approaches will be explained. We will look at what each of these approaches typically requires financially in return for their services and how to decide which approach is best for you.
The second part of the presentation will take a closer look at the range of investment vehicles from seed funding and angel investors through to the wide range of venture capital options. This will include a closer look at investments lifecycles, demystifying subjects such as Series A and Series B.
The last part of the presentation will look at the range of factors that investors examine when evaluating a potential investment. Techniques such as valuation methods, timing and a variety of capital alignment principles will be explored. We will attempt to understand what an ideal active MedTech investment looks like and how to align your proposals to the expectations of investors.
