I’ve been accused by random strangers online of having a “poverty gospel” mindset because I’m reformed and pretty blatantly anti-prosperity gospel, I honestly didn’t know the poverty gospel mindset was a thing. I was very interested in what you would say about it, and I loved everything you said in this video. My personal thoughts summed up, scarcity and wealth are both gifts from the Lord, as He leads us to the things that we were meant to do to bring Him glory. Sometimes, wealth holds us back mentally from taking certain risks or actions, so He may protect us from it, but money is a great tool that He also wants to give us so that we can use it for His kingdom.

this video was really encouraging to watch/listen to/engage with! I'm currently transitioning into a new job field and often can feel limited by my resources. Limited time/energy/connections/money, etc. It's helpful to re-calibrate by focusing on scripture that says "he owns the cattle on a thousand hills" (had to look up the reference--Psalm 50:10)....moooooove over, doubt! Loved the phrase "we are limited by our resourcefulness"--will chew on this. Blessed by you both and thankful for your faithfulness in this channel--the content adds value to the lives of those that listen/watch.

So much freedom knowing that when I pay for something it’s done and it’s mine. It also keeps me from making impulsive buys. Ps. 26 year old engaged guy here with a paid for home and acreage. Please do a part 2!! This has been super helpful! My husband (and our family) was called by the Lord into full time missions work summer of 2020 and that included an approximately 60% paycut as he moved from his family business. At the same time God called me to begin homeschooling our 2 girls which led me to cut from full time to part time work (Wish I could be a full time homeschool teacher, but right now that is not financially in the cards for us!) So with these huge changes we had to sell our home and are having to live on a much tighter budget. To be honest, we had lived a very comfortable life and had not had to budget too closely before this. Thankfully the Lord had helped us build a savings which right now is helping us supplement for our living costs, but that won't last forever. So any advice and help on this road is great! Also, Chad yes to using credit cards to work for you! I used to be afraid of credit cards because I never wanted to fall into debt. When I changed my mindset and realized that as long as I use it as I would a debit card it can work for me, it was a game changer! Points have paid for many family vacations we could not have gone on otherwise!
