I've learnt so much about good men from Chad honestly, he has the purest kindest heart and isn't afraid to squash what society wants a "man" to act like. Godly men are the best! Me too! Honestly, I admire how intentional you are, Chad, and how mich you value you Tori and your relationship, and that might really seem like such nobrainer for you, but honestly it gives me so much hope and helps me set good standards. I can't really put it into words but yeah I'll just say thank you. It means a lot to see what a daughter of God deserves, and it means a lot to see you put in so much effort. My thoughts be like wow this exists! Wow this is how it is supposed to be! Nobody is perfect but even if it is messy it can be so valueing and honouring

@@dsophie7816 Couldn't have said it better myself! He's an awesome role model - he isn't afraid to cry, talks about mental health struggles, confesses and works on his mistakes, actively works on improving his character....list goes on! There's a lot of young men (and women!) who could benefit from having Chad as a an older brother, he makes everyone feel like they're enough as they are and shouldn't be afraid to be open and vulnerable. I am sorry to hear about your wife. That is hard for both of you... I would encourage you to verbally communicate and affirm to her that she is loved, that your heart is for her just the same way as it was when she was able to "do'" more. As much as possible, even when the times you are frustrated or have to take over the chores, what can help her is if you do it with a good attitude and with a smile. If she sees that deep down it is hurtful or bothersome to you to do the things that she used to do, she will likely be hurt more. Even if she continues feeling 'not enough', your physical, emotional, and verbal affection towards her can be a large strength of support. May God bless you and honor your desire to serve your wife.

Honestly as someone who got freed from it 2 months ago when I surrendered to Jesus. The men who struggle with it because they're lukewarm and haven't really full accepted Jesus to takeover their life because the holy spirit is what stops that habit when the spirit enters your body and you apply God's word to your life it'll shield you from it.

I think the reason why men are "afraid" of couples therapy is because men are told they're supposed to spiritually lead their household, their wife, and to be the man of the house, but then are instructed that "leading" equates to following the directions of a third party, i.e. the couples therapist. This of course is not leading at all, its letting a third party lead your marriage and your household. On a limbic level, a man's brain registers this paradox and incongruity, but being told by society and the church for so long that couples therapy is basically necessary and to not engage in it equates to "not loving your wife/household" or "not following Christ," there's an inner conflict inside that man's brain. And so his inner frustration is registered as "fear," and he is then shamed for it and psychologically coerced into going to couples therapy . . . or else ;)
