I have a Jose Ramirez studio 4E Classical guitar made in 2000 and I bought it in 2001. Although I don't play very well, its sound is pure and mellow to my 82 year old ears. I will not sell it and will leave it behind when my life is finished.so someone else can enjoy it as I have.

I had one of those. And as beautiful as it was, I simply wasn't a good enough player to warrant owning it. So after a few years I sold it to a better musician.

I'm fortunate to have a 1971 Ceder top Jose Ramirez 1A and I just love it. It was $7000.00 Australian dollars about twenty years ago and just love it. It'll be with me 'til I die.

John Williams rarely play with José Ramirez! He played mainly on Ignacio Fleta, Hernández y Aguado, Greg Smallman!

A late 60s 1A Ramirez that hasn't been played much is a rare find and a treat as the instrument should hopefully still open up.

I have a blue label ramirez flamenco. They were supposed to be cheap but it has solid woods all over and ebony fretboard. The headstock looks like a cricket bat so I tried to tart it up a bit and when I tried to change the tuners they were about 1mm off standard centres so I couldn't. I think it is sounding quite cool since it is narrower than your standard classical.

I'm replacing my existing 36mm tuners with original Fustero 36mm tuners. The current ones are fine, but i want to have original types on my 71 1a

I experienced that about my Ramirez i had before (the action needed to be higher to sound its best).. what is it about the construction that causes that do you know?

Do you know what it is about the construction which requires the strings to be higher action for best sound?

Fine sounding guitar. The problem with Ramirez is always the action.

are Ramirez low end guitars like Estudio series… made by Ramirez themselves or made by local luthiers??? Worth enough as Ramirez handmade to buy???

The base frequency is still too high, the overall sound is fine, the taste is still a bit worse than the traditional low-resonance piano, this base frequency is at a-a#

yes, the action is too high and could be lower for easier fast playing like paco de lucia´s ramirez guitar, his ramirez 1a has a very low action, that means they could do it but they don´t do it itentionally wrong. fazit i would never buy a ramirez and by the way the prize is tooooooooooooo high.

@@GoranIvanovic i had the opportunity 1978 in Siegen/Germany to play de lucia´s Ramirez Classic No. 1 and this instrument had a very low action and he said that jose made it extra for him. unfortunately he is not still alive and you can´t ask him anymore.
