Iv been in the military for 19 years now and 9 deployments in. People give me shit for being an alcoholic specifically because im dangerously allergic to alcohol and cant drink without my inhaler. I just got home from a deployment 5 months ago and thought I was done deploying but now being threatened with having retirement denied and forced to deploy again. They give me blood pressure meds I dont take. I just need them to let me retire. I just wanna be left alone

Thank you for sharing your story with us! My brother, I am a marine corps veteran and have been struggling with a similar issue. Thank you for showing us there is light at the end of the tunnel and we’re not alone! Unfortunately for me I’ve been going through the methadone treatment program at the VA and I’m sure you know that to them I’m just another number going through the motions. It’s extremely hard but I’m still fighting..

Sometimes...I wish I had taken more pictures with my Army friends. I have been out for quite some time. All of us have moved on. And I've just been pretending to live ever since.

I’m not a hero. I did 2 tours to non combat areas. Asia, Europe, and several other areas training them to fight against ISIS. I am depressed. I was in 2 battalions during my time. I knew hundreds of military personal. I was USMC. I knew many on a personal level. Some of us were In dangerous situations. We grew. Together. And I got married. I love her. I still love her. We went to school. I was a campus student at 24 with military background with immature boys and children. But my wife and I got our degrees. I’ve had several jobs. I, before this job, go to the gym everyday. (Basic) -135 (current)221. SORRY FOR THE SAD SGORY. WHEN YOU GET OUT. YOU HAVE NO ONE. no one listens. No one knows your weakness. I feel depressed. I’m sad. Deadlift 500 Chest a lot Squat 350 if I have to. I HAVE MUSCLE, I NEED HELP
