Great video! I picked up the X-H1 and traded in my X-T2. The larger grip, better shutter button placement, and IBIS meant that the X-H1 better suited my needs. Plus it was being heavily discounted since they weren't selling all that well. To be honest, I'm not as keen on the aperture/ISO/shutter/exp comp retro dial setup anymore. I have an X-Pro2, and for that because it lends itself to a different, more deliberate shooting style, the dials make a lot of sense: I love it. For the XT series... meh... as a long time former Nikon user, the thumb/finger wheel dial set up on dSLRs is a whole lot faster for portrait or action shooting. Using the big dial on the Fuji for shutter and then "fine tuning" it with a finger dial seems inefficient. Oh.... and Godox makes a "round head" adapter for its rectangular speedlights so why they make the round flash seems... counterproductive.

regarding the XT30 i disagree! i just switched a week and a half ago from years using nikon to the fuji xt30 and within this week and a half i already find the Q button placement very convenient, a quick access with my thumb, and i never pressed it by mistake, not even once, not even in the first days of using it. also the joystick is super fast and responsive i definitely prefer it to the D pads that i had on the nikons. and i never had a problem with the touch screen. i ws kind of scarred moving from the nikon that i'm very familiar with and thought it would take me much longer to adjust, but the xt30 is very intuitive. but i guess it is all personal preferences

When looking for a body, I would get the X-H1. It is a bit bigger that the X-T2, but man that IBIS is amazing and especially as a beginner you can try some vintage lenses for amazing results on the cheap. The larger EVF is also vital when checking focus on manual lenses. And you can get used bodies for around 700 bucks. So good. Personally, I had the X-T20 and switched to the X-H1 and it is such an improvement. I don't do video btw. However, I loved the X-T20 for its size. That was just insane how tiny it was and how good the quality of the images was. Just great.

Ok, here is a situation. Imagine you're a landscape photographer using fuji gear only, going out for a multi-day high altitude hiking/climbing expedition (say 4000+ metre), where SAVING WEIGHT IS ABSOLUTE NECESSARY and so is bringing weather-sealed gears. You wanna shoot astro, wanna shoot climbing and you wanna change lenses as less as possible. You can take one body and 3 lenses. You got two combination options within more or less same budget. 1st, 16mm f1.4 + 35mm f2 + 50-140mm f2.8... and the 2nd, Rokinon 12mm (I know, not weather-sealed) +16-55 f2.8 + 90mm f2. Which combination you'd likely to pick? I know it's not how you shoot. Yet, you asked for it.... :)

I wouldn't start with multiple speedlights, but with one! Natural light photography comes with challenges, but when you start shooting with a speedlight you'll meet a lot more challenges. So start with those challenges first and when you've got the hang of that (and know how to get the results you want), then buy a second speedlight. And yes, you'll get even more challenges then (like out of sync flashes, flash output and that kind of stuff).

@momchilyordanov81904 жыл бұрын
I would argue, that with the Tamron f/2.8 zooms and especially with the 18, 24, 45 and 75 primes that Samyang make, one can have as small of a full frame system as a Fuji system. And the f/1.8s will be like f/1.2 lenses on a crop body. Plus, you can put them not on 7 Mk.3, but on 7R Mk.3 that will kill in resolution any 24 or 26MP camera, without making your system bigger...

I know that a big draw for a lot of users is Fuji's Prime lenses... However of late I have been in deep consideration about consolidating my kit. Mainly ditching my 14mm f2.8 (have loved this for landscape and indoor family situations) and 18-55 kit lens for the 16-55 f2.8. I keep flirting with the idea but never really pulling the trigger for a couple of reasons. 1 - will I miss that extra bit of wideness going from 14 to 16 2 - is the 16-55 too big for an xt20 with grip (although there is a potential to upgrade in the future). Would like to know if anyone has had the same thought process as me, and what you ended up doing (if anything)

Sold my xt30 to get a new xt3 just, I really don't know why (maybe bcuz of weather sealed) but if i had to only get one prime lens which one would it be. I shoot portraits and streetphotography just out of passion and not profession.

Hey! I'm a starter photographer who wants a simple and good camera for shooting low light dance performance, theatre, movement,.. I'm thinking to buy the fujifilm xt2 and the 56mm 1.2 lens with it. I love the fujisystem so id love to keep using it. Would you say this is a good choice? Or should i keep researching what camera would fit better? Thanks in advance! Manon

Time for one more? Sony a7ii or the Fuji xt2? Just for photos no video...

For backpacking (light/compact) travel, self-taking portraits and landscape photography: Sony a6400 or Xt-3? Or Xt-3 or Xt-2 or xt-20? The great debate 😂

Man, great video, I am new to all this Fujifilm thing and don't have any cam or lenses, but like your video, I think, I am going to buy a x-t20. I am shooting on a Bridgcam and iPhone 8+, want to tray the real cam. I know, the new or other camera would make better photos, but I think it is a different process wile taking photos. thx for your videos anyway!

It's so ironic. Every time someone asks what lens they need the only answer can be: "If you don't know yourself, you don't need another lens!" Every time someone wants to know, if this or that lens is good for this or that task, the only answer can be: "You would know if you was good enough to make use of it!" Basically, every time someone has to ask one of these questions they are not ready to make the next step and they would profit way more from developing their skills than from buying new stuff they won't be able to use properly.
