A Voice-Controlled Dashcam for your RV

Hi Wade. I learn a lot from your videos. Have you tried to install a rear camera for your dashcam? And if so, how did you route the wire from the back to the front dashcam?

Thanks - check out how I installed the rear view camera for the digital rear view mirror: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ml7UXp6HiZiEd5o. I’m sure there are more professional ways, but it’s worked for me quite well for the past year or so!

@@howwevan Thanks Wade. I watched the video and noticed you did not install the rear camera. However, you do have your auxiliary rearview mirror and I'm wondering how you routed the wires from that rear camera to it. I have a 2024 Terreno AWD. It has a factory built-in rear camera in my model but to my knowledge it has no recording capabilities. One hack I am considering is installing the rear camera in the top center console and let it record the footage from the factory rear mirror. Kind of funky, but much less wiring.

I’m pretty sure I installed the rear view camera for the digital rear view mirror. I ended up drilling a hole under the passenger seat. It should be in the video I linked but let me know if you don’t see it.
