The Conservatives completed their leadership contest in a matter of days - Labour's has barely begun. There are now two candidates standing against Jeremy Corbyn - Angela Eagle and Owen Smith - but the Labour Leader has told us that the rules which exclude recently signed up members from voting in the contest are unfair - and he wants the party's national executive to change them. mAdam Fleming went for a walk in the park with Mr Corbyn.

Such a decent man. I don't think I agree with some of his policies but his character is worth voting for.

A decent man indeed, but clearly not a leader. Any attempt to so dramatically reshape a major political party needs a much stronger figurehead than Jeremy Corbyn - not to mentio broader parliamentary support.

The politics in nearly the whole world is very unstable (because of loss of trust) - which also means that candidates like Corby has his chance.

He is a leader. He has the majorities voting. What are people talking about? He is a great leader. He can't help his personality. He's voted by majority of the general public. He is backed by all public.

Jeremy is someone who'd sway a non-Labour voter to vote Labour. He could easily get the Liberal vote and some of the Old Conservative vote. Jeremy gets on with people and doesn't pretend to wholeheartedly support what he doesn't wholeheartedly support. The Eagle has not landed.

Please, a question about the people you accused of terrorism in direct and indirect ways, and they are innocent people. Are you looking forward to settling their situation and rehabilitating them? I am a person of twenty-one years in Britain and I do not have any right to life. What is the solution please?

Great interview! Good on you BBC for the lack of anti-corbyn bias with this one (as often seems to be the case when the man is actually allowed to speak for himself & genuinely converse - e.g. the surprisingly positive hour Sky news did with him about the EU)

I'm afraid that after several discussions I've had on twitter, contrary to my previous posts I'm gonna have to vote against Jeremy Corbyn for leader of the labour party. It's been brought to my attention that he likes to sneak into peoples houses eat an uneven amount of Weetabix, then drink all the milk and juice but for just a smidgen in the bottom (which has contributed to the rampant use of food banks), then he then likes to take the top off the toothpaste and leave it out so it sets like mint flavoured granite, and if that weren't enough he only went and slotted Bambi's Mum! The man is clearly a prick and has to go.

Politically, it's fair to say I hate him. but outside of politics I have to say he seems to be a very nice and respectable man indeed! I really wish him well and I respect him for saying what he really thinks in politics, but as a leader he needs to unite the Party (easier said than done, I know) and it doesn't seem he can do it.

7.5 people out of ten thought EU in that part of London, just like Jeremy's 7.5 out of ten. But then they don't have to work faster faster the EU way, producing the food they cant live without or actually have to work till they are 68 in line with Germany (No jobs for people that age there unless they are the Boss of a political party or something).

No EU is destroying right that unions fought 200 years for. Why did labour criminal party put retirement age up from 60 to 68 for woman? Why are French workers demonstrating about their rights? Why is EU to Punish Spain & Portugal for not having even worse austerity? Champagne dinner party elite EU that's why. UK is leaving. Get a Job in UK's biggest manufacturing industry Food & find out for yourself what it's like on a hot day like today, but your working faster faster & some city person wants you to be slave to EU

Lol "admitted socialist"? Love it when people don't realise that the Labour party has always been a socialist party right from its beginnings in the 1910s, it was literally founded on socialist principles. Also, I understood what nuclear war was when I was 12. Nobody survives. All the nukes go off, but of course let's spend 200 billion pounds over the next decade or so to make sure we kill off a few million more people. As long as we get in one more shot right? How about we invest that money into the NHS, or improving education for the next generation?
@jonesnj07
@jonesnj07 8 жыл бұрын
***** labour of the 1960's is nothing like labour from 1990's onwards, he is dragging the party back to failure, and are you stupid, its called a nuclear *defensive* system not offensive system, you are so naive, if Russia, China, America, Pakistan, India, North Korea and Israel and France were to give up their nukes, I would be all for nuclear disarmament, but untill then we wouldn't be so stupid, it would never be used as a offensive weapon as idiots like you think, it would be used if the very existence of the United Kingdom was under threat, so to save 65 million people, I would happily press the button and kill 100,000 people of our enemy. "to make sure we kills few million people" This is how stupid and hysterical you sound.
@Jackerlus1
@Jackerlus1 8 жыл бұрын
Nathan Jones well it seems reading is not your strength, neither is your understanding of nuclear war. GET IT IN YOUR HEAD, if someone presses the button aimed at us, everyone dies regardless of whether we get another nuke in or not, and everyone in the world knows it. It's not about how many people we kill, it's that if someone pressed the button we would all die regardless of whether we fired as well. That is the reality of a nuclear war. Whether you press that button or not, people are dying in the billions anyway because of alliances. That's why it's called mutually assured destruction.
