Just wanted to thank you for this. My family and I visited Stanley in July, and I was absolutely blown away by the sheer beauty of it all. Indescribable... I found this video because I was missing the place, and I can remember everything you show because we walked all around. I hope to visit again someday!

Was in Stanley back in the 80’s for a rafting trip. Stanley is very pretty!! Also remember the drive from Sun Valley to Stanley as incredibly beautiful.

I was born and raised near Stanley. I never lived there, but I have had the times of my life there. It is still my summer destination, and I am old now.

It is an amazing place. My family owns a cabin on the river across from White Cloud rafting. I will be taking over the rental of it this spring and will do a video showing it on here. Be sure to keep an eye out for that.

It was fun to see Stanley again. I was a ski bum in Sun Valley/Ketchum in the early 70's and I came to Stanley a few times when it was a one-street town. All I remember is that there was a very small salon called "Curl Up With Jack". I also purchased a silver Indian bracelet at a small motel there. I still have the bracelet. Seeing this video sure makes me want to go back to Idaho and visit all my old haunts, including Redfish Lake and Stanley.

I think you should do that. If'n you would like a guide to see some of the new stuff, let me know. I love to show this area off. Oh yeah, I live in Challis now.

@@DetourswithFrank Thanks for the offer. I really have no idea if I will make it back to Idaho in this lifetime, but I am so thankful that I got to see many of Idaho's best kept secrets in their purest and untouched states.

Cool video brother. These little towns in the middle of nowhere always amaze me. Living in the city for many years, I definitely envy the residents of this area, even though I'm sure there are challenges. Thank you for sharing this!

I drove through last year. Headed back this year to hang for a day or two. Sawtooth Luce's sounds great.

Literally just came back from a trip to Stanley. Not much has changed except for a couple of businesses. Bakery Cafe is a must visit.

I have been her three times and never disappointed. The grumpy cook at casino Klub smiled when I tipped him 30 percent. Also the white cloud guide fly fishing trip was A1. Don't forget Elk Mountain Resort down the road next to the best lake Stanley Lake.
