I think maybe me too. I cried a little, but the part that impacted me was when Landon cries in his dad's arms as a thank you. But it's a helpless feeling too because they both did all they could and it eased much of her suffering towards the end. I think for me it was the first time I saw a guy cry on screen in a movie before and had such a heartfelt reason behind why.

The way they were immediately up and arms when Dean was screaming at his girlfriend's face was so nice to see. I've watched this movie countless times as a kid, and always thought it was sad, but smth I've seen happening again and again. It's the first time I see someone react this way to such a "subtle" yet common form of abuse and domination in a relationship

I am aging myself here - but is no one aware that Mandy Moore started out as a pop singer? She transitioned into acting a little later. She came out in the mid to late 90s at the same time as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson. So, yes, that is really her singing.

"The doors opened and I saw Jamie, seated in her wheelchair, a nurse by her side. With all the strength she had left, Jamie stood shakily as her father supported her. Then Jamie and Hebert slowly made their way down the aisle, while everyone in the church sat silently in wonder. Halfway down the aisle, Jamie suddenly seemed to tire, and they stopped while she caught her breath. Her eyes closed, and for a moment I didn't think she could go on. I know that no more than ten or twelve seconds elapsed, but it seemed much longer, and finally she nodded slightly. With that, Jamie and Hebert started moving again, and I felt my heart surge with pride. It was, I remember thinking, the most difficult walk anyone ever had to make. In every way, a walk to remember." I’ve never read the book. But I might have to after reading that. 😭😭

This movie is one of my favorite hospital stories. But I can’t watch it anymore. I grew up very sick and was told that I probably wouldn’t survive my teens. It wasn’t cancer, but I related to Jaime so much. In high school, I had one guy who treated me like a normal girl but also helped me get out of my comfort zone and have experiences I always wanted to have but was too scared to try. I loved him very much. And he used to say that he cherished me. But we never got together. It wasn’t till I was in my late 20s that he told me the truth and shattered my heart. He told me: “I can’t be with you. I’m not the guy who is going to better himself and go to med school and love you knowing I’m going to lose you. I’m the guy who will drink himself to death after you’re gone because I’d want to die to too. It’s easier as friends. If we’re friends and I lose you, I’d grieve. But I wouldn’t be depressed and suicidal. I can’t be your Landon.” I’m in my 30s now. Doing okay. Almost died in March but I’m on the mend now. It’s been at least a decade since he said those words to me. He’s married now and seems happy. I’m happy for him. We haven’t spoken to each other in over 7 years. I want him to have a wonderful life. But I’d be lying if I said his words that day don’t haunt me still. It was like he had no belief in my future. Like he was just humoring the dying girl. It devastated me. I’m sorry. I didn’t intend for this post to be so depressing. I forget who asked, but yes Mandy Moore does her own singing. She was actually a teen pop idol before she was an actress. She just didn’t get as much traction as say Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. It wasn’t because she couldn’t sing. She just didn’t have as much broad appeal as the other ladies.

I'm sorry, Kailyn. But I kind of understand your friend. When my 19 year old cat died I felt so rotten that four months later I almost turned down a free Himalayan kitten because I couldn't face it again. Almost. Bloody hell 💀 someone make this into a movie tho...🤡 On a serious note Kailyn u deserve better someone who will actually be there for u no matter what. He was never meant to be for you, just someone u learn important lessons from. And even if u never find that love of your life guy (bc contrary to what Movies want u to think romantic love isnt the be all of your life) remember the ppl that actually stayed- family and friends who love u unconditionally. Cherish those ppl in your life and forget ppl like that boy who left, they never deserved you. Also Kailyn if u ever want me to write out your lil tragic love story into a bestselling novel just hit me up 😉 (jk I promise I'm not being insensitive I just find this man who left u a joke icl)

Rob knowing what happens in these movies almost makes the reactions better haha. I love how Zuff predicts the couple every time! Bryce saying "Nooo, don't do this shit to me" was relatable. This movie is hard for me: Was dating and in love, with a guy about a year after this came out. It was young love. He discovered he was very sick, heart wise, and became very defensive & detached from everyone. We eventually broke up. *Everyone* kept saying "it's like a Walk to Remember" and I remember thinking "no... it's really not." I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It was painful for his friends too, but luckily he let a choice few stay in his life. They eventually got him to seek out some care to help him live a bit healthier, and longer, from what he was initially told. Heard he still has some health struggles, but has been managing okay. Thank goodness for those friends.

Y’all I can’t help it but Zach and Bryce reaction to this movie is so pure and cute. I just wanted to hug all of you 🥺 I still tear up when she tells Landon she’s sick and of course the ending is heart breaking as well. I saw my great grandpa struggle with multiple myeloma cancer and it’s awful to witness it, he got to a point where he just looked lost and confused, his stupid doctor told him his old age would probably take him first before the cancer and man was he wrong. I remember I was so angry at his doctor after he passed, I wanted to scream in his face and say you gave us all false hope. Cancer sucks so much and honestly it’s been 2 years since he’s passed but it still feels I recently heard the news

I lost my dad a few months ago to lung cancer. I’m turning 21 next year and it’s crazy to think he won’t be there to give me those “cringey” head kisses and call me his princess. I really took those moments for granted due to our small quarrels. He wasn’t a perfect man, he had many flaws, but I couldn’t ask for a better dad than him. Now all I can hope is that his soul is resting well and I can achieve his dream of me becoming an upstanding adult.

A Walk To Remember is a book to movie adaptation written by Nicholas Sparks. He has other books/movies "The Last Song", "The Notebook", "Dear John". To me, Nicholas Sparks is the Taylor Swift of Authors.

Life is definitely valuable and moments are always too short. I lost my mom quite suddenly 5 months ago. Still doesn't feel real. Just always make sure you let the people you love know that you love and appreciate them. ♥ Great reaction guys... one of my favorite films.

Yay I love this one. I live a few hours from where this was filmed in Wilmington, NC and actually visited the gazebo seen in the date scene. In person it's actually longer than it looks with a ton of weird turns. It was cool to visit a place from a movie I've loved for years. 💕

With Nicholas Sparks novels someone always dies. Either in the beginning or the end. This never changes, just FYI.

If you liked Mandy in this, you should react to Saved! She plays a totally opposite character but does a great job at it.

TBF, I don't like the name, *except* in this movie, so your son must be special.

This movie was one of the most special movies in the world to me growing up however... Why the heck would they show it in school that seems ... unethical or something.

I'm a hetero male here. First time I saw this movie was the first time I went to a drive in theater.. and it was with my mom. Also I remember rocking out to "Paradise city" by gnr for the first time on the way to the drive in (almost 80 miles from home back then). Lol I realize how weird the story sounds now but it gained me points with every chick I tried dating for the next ten years 😂🤷🏻‍♂️
