Gabriel Varga is a gem in these videos. It's hilarious how thoughtful and respectful he is circling back to what you were saying while Mike and Seth are in the background like hecklers. As for "everything is JKD" - like I'm sorry that the framework for our art is...correct? lol What we advocate for in JKD is rooted in a practical philosophy expressed through practice and experimentation. Is it entirely unique in being correct? Of course, not! But if someone else has a winning framework, they're for sure going to compare other systems to their own. It's only natural to find commonality. JKD resonates with me precisely because of its emphasis on "aliveness" and applying the scientific method to practice insofar as possible. All the while, never forgetting to look beyond just physicality and examine how our art impacts our lives. It advocates self-cultivation, individual expression, and practicality. It's about more than just being good at violence. What's not to love?

Kinda cool to see the different motivation types and how they reach the same goal. MJ was motivated by spite and power to reach the top while Gabriel is motivated by achievement and completing tasks in the manner he wants to do them in. Neither is greater than the other but shows how powerful internal motivation can be

Detication and right mindset it is a key. Not only to be a champion but for everything you do. It is allways easy to find excuse to not doing something or quit your dream... It is hard to go agains all obstical to reach your goal. Ofc some people have better start than others but this is just excuse which is very easy to say and accepted, instead of working hard to get what you want.

Metrolina martial arts you're right I don't need validation of the martial arts I want to learn but this I told you long time ago but I'll tell you right now the first martial arts I wanted to learn as a kid were kung fu karate Taekwondo and the number one most well-known used and practice of those Styles is Wing Chun Kung Fu kyokushin karate Taekwondo itf also wing chun vs kyokushin karate and Taekwondo itf Wing Chun wins because I looked up on the Internet Taekwondo versus Wing Chun Taekwondo wins but that is not the case right neither of these three wins it all depends on the practitioner and the individual not the martial art Style am I correct

@mattjack3983
@mattjack3983 Жыл бұрын
To a certain extent, yes you are correct. It's the individual that's the most important. But how and what that individual trains is equally as important. I have a blackbelt in Kyokushin and I've met practitioners of all 3 styles you mentioned who were very good, and very effective fighters. But none of them could stop a double leg takedown from a wrestler, because none of them trained to. None of them could escape from being pinned on their backs, get off the ground, and make it back to their feet, because none of them trained to do that. Every style has something useful to gain from it, and ideally you want to learn as much as you can, train for the worst case scenarios against real resistance, and become a well rounded practitioner. Regardless of your "style", sparring, and training with real resistance is always going to be incredibly important, and it's the only way that you are going to be able to know for sure what is going to work for you, and what isn't. Don't limit yourself to any single style or system. Learn as much as you can from as many sources as you can, and become a well rounded martial artist.

Well to be honest I love Kung Fu karate Taekwondo but I love Kung Fu a lot and I like that Wing Chun Beats kyokushin karate and Taekwondo itf because Wing Chun is Wing Chun man but you're right no matter what the internet says no style beats the other if Taekwondo Beats Wing Chun or if Wing Chun beats Taekwondo

It's all about the person and the individual who makes the style effective and work and look I'm trying to make my very own hybrid martial art style and I want to do it with wing chun kung fu kyokushin karate Taekwondo itf because like I said these were the very first martial arts I wanted to train as a kid they are effective and work in self defense street fighting and again these are the number one best most well-known used in practice styles of kung fu karate Taekwondo but yeah I love Kung Fu a lot that's why I also want to add sanda as well

When Tommy can someone make their very own hybrid style by adding other hybrid Styles yes or no and the reason I'm saying wing chun kung fu kyokushin karate Taekwondo itf it's because they are not hybrid styles they are their own styles but that is not the case right

And now that I'm telling you what I was going to as a kid again or first time I was going to add sanda and jkd to my Arsenal you should know I once did JKD on a school once my teacher was trained by Dan insanto what sense JKD is not style for philosophy I'm not sure if I want to learn it also have you heard of Tai Chi xing yi quan bagauzhange the three wudang styles which of the three is more effective in fighting your guess tell me so that way i won't have to ask anyone ever again
