I think that the other side wants to get this defeated under the radar this next week while everybody is distracted with Holiday Cheer! I donate to them monthly. But that's only one way. Consumers need to take back control and they do so by not spending. Wanna see corporations, corrupt government and other go running? Stop spending. It will also really improve climate change. Live with less, repair everything. We don't need to protest, fight or march to the capital. The US and the entire world rely on US consumer spending. US consumers don't realize how much power they have.

This is great, especially at a time when hope and optimism feels lost. Earthjustice and every other environmental organization should use every single tool at their disposal to fight Trump and his cronies on the environment. I hope these organizations' efforts are successful in securing the Biden/Harris Administration's environmental progress (particularly the Infrastructure Act and Inflation Reduction Act) and help Democratic voter turnout to score huge victories in both 2026 and 2028!

Sorry for being negative. I know for a fact that age discrimination is very much prevalent. My brother was in IT with very good pay. He went to work with a startup that went under. He does have 3 low paying part time jobs but has trouble finding a full time position. He is 74. In 2006 I went back to school to expand my horizons because the automotive industry opportunities were diminishing. I got a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I have not found any positions to use that degree. Good news is I starting selling furniture and started there on 12 February 2012. Thus I have been there for 12 years. At the age of 72, I hope they allow me to stay as long as I can. Because I fear for our future. So good luck if you need to un retire.

I would still receive my retirement pay but Social Security payments would be cut back depending on amount of income I start earning again. The director of the utility from which I last retired has indicated that she would not mind me working for them again, but IDK in what capacity that would be. I anticipate there might be resentment if other employees felt there was favoritism of some sort.
