I cried watching this. It's so much effort and care. I'll never experience care like this in my life. The only person that would care for me was my mom. After she died I realized how lonely I was. This is sad. Because men always have women around them who take care of them: mom, sister, wife. For women it's different: once your mom is gone no one will ever make a bowl of soup for you let alone take care of you. Looks delicious by the way.

Thank you for making these. I have always wanted to learn how to make Japanese foods like the bentos you make in your videos. One thing I love about your videos versus other people’s is that you are honest! It tells us allot that you can make quick replacements when you may not have the a necessary ingredient for a dish (meaning you’re well experienced)! 💕

Today, I referenced this video while cooking teriyaki salmon! It came out perfectly! I also stir fried some snow peas and thin cut carrots with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and gochujang, and some jasmine rice with a little pickled ginger on the side, just using what I already had in the pantry and fridge. Bonito powder is made with just the fish, Katsuo (鰹). Dashi (だし) could be from fish, Konbu (昆布)/kelp, mushrooms or the combination of these.
