Baking Powder Drop Biscuits are perfect for freezer prep and go with almost everything!
Baking Powder Drop Biscuits Recipe
4 cups flour
2 TBSP Sugar
1 tsp salt
5 tsp baking powder
1 cup cold butter
2 cups milk
Mix dry ingredients together and cut butter into cubes and slowly mix together until butter chunks are about the size of a pea. Slowly add in milk until just combined.
Scoop onto a cookie sheet and allow to fully freeze.
Store in a Freezer Bag until you are ready to use.
Remove from freezer and allow to thaw for about 15 minutes at room temperature then bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.

Drop Biscuits are pretty easy 😁 a couple tips... make sure your butter is really cold, don't over mix your dough because that will make them tough try to only mix until the flour and milk are just combined, and chill them a bit before baking if you aren't going to freeze them. This is my go to recipe whenever I make biscuits because it's just so easy haha! I hope this helps 😄 ~Kirstie

Whenever you make biscuits, you want to keep the butter as cold as possible so that you get nice flaky layers 😁. If you thaw them too much they will actually end up kind of dry because the butter will melt out of them during cooking. I hope this helps!

@@kerschnerfarmstead cool, we make drop biscuits all the time I've just never seen them hold a spherical shape after cooking. The bottoms of yours hardly flatten out. Didn't know if that was from freezing. Looking at freezing a bunch of stuff so I'm not cooking 1-2 hours everyday and picked some of the easiest stuff I know to look into how it turns out
