We're Chesca and Ben, and with our two pups River & Scout (🐶 🐶 ) we live and travel full-time in our self converted sprinter van, Sophia. We spent the past 2 years road tripping as much of Europe as we could, from the wild coasts of Portugal to the Syrian border in Turkey, tackling lockdowns and a van re-build along the way. But now, we're feeling like a new challenge. In the summer of 2022, we'll be shipping our van from the UK to Canada, on a mission to drive her all the way to Argentina!

I started crying when I saw you all reunited again, I was so happy. You guys are "family". What a great place to meet up again. I love that there was this island where you could go and bury your your dogs, your "fur babies", that is special. So funny seeing Chris and Marianne on the paddleboard and Chris getting some love from Scout. You all have so many wonderful memories now to cherish. May we all pray for the survivors, those yet to be saved, the broken families, the lost and the bereaved, the broken homes, those without shelter, and those struggling to get both medical help and both food and water. The reunion I have been looking forward to, including Scout ❤️ I believe the area that Scout was found is actually one of the parts the earthquakes hit? Yes the area he was from has been devastated 😢 The roadtrip we did with Chris and Marianne was directly through the earthquake zone, from Hatay and Antakya to Gaziantep and down towards Syria. Towns we drove through don’t exist now. It’s beyond heartbreaking 💔😢 And Marianne doesn’t eat fish either! She was living off cheese tortillas and guacamole 😂 xx

There were so many things that happened around Scout's rescue that we never managed to capture on camera but both of those guys were such a huge part of rescuing him. He used to sleep outside their van too and to see how happy he was to be around them again melted our hearts ❤️

Love this 🥰 The paddle board is that big bag that we store on the roof! You can often see it in wide shots of the van from the outside. The Starlink is on the roof when we’re using it and we keep the box in the footwell 🧡

Hey Janet! It's a MoonShade. If you're outside the US I think customs can be a pain but it's an amazing piece of kit. Weighs about 5kg and packs away small. We've had it for the past 2 years now and love it. The Turkey situation is heartbreaking. The earthquake happened in the area we all road tripped and to think of the people we met, the memories we made there. Such a devastating thing to happen to such a beautiful country and people 💔

I go fishing most weekends on the gower coast in wales , I'm happy sit on the coast admire what a stunning country I live in, but chill and catch fish for my nieibours . Don't like fish noooooo know what I bait to catch them lug worms , mud worms , sand eels and gone off mackerel, I've smelled my hands after baiting up gross lol

Absolutely horrible the massive earthquake in Turkey. Not that the rest of my comment in any way is meant to diminish the horror of it either. ...... Did any of you there know if the Japanese animation move called "Isle of Dogs". Aside from the name, there is something of a tie in. It is an interesting move with a quirk to the portrayal through "dogs". The movie came out in 2018

I've just replied to you on Facebook but for anyone else reading... it'a a long way to Alaska! We're still in Mexico, we won't even be leaving CA until mid-March and will be in Alaska in May. We also have weddings and US visa appointments so we need to be in certain places at certain times. We'll hit cold weather going north but it should be coming out the worst of it. By the time we come back south summer will be in full swing. 👍
