I’m not surprised at all. Most top level CF athletes are doing some isolation accessory work. My husband and I have a home gym that has a mix of CF and iso machines. It’s good to mix it up. We also have a bit of background in the body building world and CF. I used to go to my box and do a workout and go to the regular gym after and do my iso lift for the day.
