First time watching Anne With an E! Commentary and Reaction to Season 2 Episode 7! This was a great episode and I understand why people love it so much. It was funny (as always), heartfelt, and continued challenging societal norms. Marilla and Matthew actually unpack their trauma (shocking), Diana is in distress over her journey of identity and self-discovery and Cole is given courage by the welcoming community he witnesses. That argument between Marilla and Mathew is one of my favorite scenes of the whole show. It hits me so hard

It is so sweet that the episode ends with Anne talking about how love doesn't just look like one thing. And we see Marilla and Matthew share a look. We are shown how Anne brought a new love into their lives, but it always gets me that the siblings finally acknowledge that the love they share as a family just the two of them matters as well.

I also grew up with a mom who was depressed and held a lot of resentment toward her for a long time because of it. And I also became depressed as a result. But the more I learn and grow the more I understand she didn’t do it on purpose, she just was never taught how to handle her emotions in a healthy way or feel confident in her ability to take control of her life so she couldn’t teach me those things. So now I’m teaching myself (with some help from my therapist).

One of my favorite things of the show is the moment Marilla and Mattew realize that despite all the hardship they always had each other and they truly love each other. I find that really moving

I love the commentary you have after the episode as much as the reactions you have during the show. What I think is lacking in general with reaction content is that it's very REACT REACT REACT and then it's done. I like having some genuine reflection after the quick notes and asides, so I love your end-of-episode review/commentary as well. Please finish out the series or I will cry just like when I reached the end and didn't get a season 4 😢

Hey sammy once you finish Anne with the an e you should watch the Anne Of Green Gables 1985 movie and it’s Sequels Anne of Green Gables the Sequel 1987 (Anne of Avonlea) whatever you like calling it and the Third one Called Anne Of Green Gables The Continuing Story 2000 Which Stars Canadian Actress Megan Follows as Anne and Late Canadian Actor Jonathan Crombie as Gilbert in all 3 of these Movies.
