My son insisted that he too helped in kitchen. He went on to become a first class chef in the British Diplomatic corps. He went on to the met as an armed protection officer. He has actually cooked for the several members of the Royal Family he has worked with today when the whole family members gather its an argument about who cooks when .

One of my boys insisted on learning how to cook. He turned out to be the one that loves cooking, although both boys cook supper because they have working wives. The other son is more likely to crock pot or grill. The son that has always loved to cook is into sous vide cooking now. Lol

It takes time to make it for a big family but it is cheap, and oh so delicious. At her age I had married bringing our wedding forward by three years due to a family members terminal diagnosis. Of course we got the fingers counting and comments about how we have ruined our live and it will never last. Well 54years later and after we both achieved double degrees becoming university lecturers in different universities and fields ( both universities are international known older established universities in UK. Now retired and enjoying the pleasure of having time together. Not a single regret would do it all again tomorrow

I used to tell my kids that I could tell exactly what was said in their homes by what how their children acted and spoke. Now I'm going to tell you guys, Janice and Shawn, it's very easy to see what your values are, how you speak to your children and how children are treated in your home just by watching your videos. You can't fake good parenting! Even Rebekah is very much unspoiled for being the baby. She eats what everybody else is eating and dosn't complain. And she's easily re-directed. Of course, she has a Mama who's a pro at re-directing childrens' attention by now! lol I just love watching your videos, no matter what they're about. It's wonderful to see well-behaved, unspoiled children.

I was doing chores and things like this when I was a kid. We had 5 acres, my dad's garden, 5 cows a chicken and baby chicks and a pig to take care of. We helped my step mother clean and cook (in the house) and took turns with animal care (pigs aren't always fun to take care of) and yard work, (the garden, the lawn),lol. It's nice to see your children, being responsible and helpful. They don't seem to complain about anything. Very unspoiled. You and your husband should be commended for how you raise them. :)
@CheriGoodwin Жыл бұрын
The children have definitely been raised with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. I wish we had more citizens like the ones they are going to be someday. You mentioned garden and lawn work, reminded me that I'm so old I can remember using a pair of scissors to trim around my parents' trees and house! Talk about blisters! After that I always wore gloves.
@melissagahn Жыл бұрын
@@CheriGoodwin I had to do the same. Dad saw my blisters and went out and bought gloves for us to use. Our friends at school thought we were being mistreated but we weren't. We actually loved learning and doing. The best part was eating what we planted knowing that we did that. It was such a great life! :)
@CheriGoodwin Жыл бұрын
@@melissagahn Yes, I can't remember exactly but I started wearing gloves after that. I think my parents probably got me some, because I didn't know what the blisters were from. I can remember showing my hands to my mother and asking her what the blisters were! Lol

@@CheriGoodwin Wow. I was weirded out too. Young, had never seen blisters before, I thought I had some weird disease. Dad said, "No baby, those are blisters, for hard work." He was good to us. :)
