I love the weather, the buildings and countryside. I felt a tinge of sorrow for the graves that no one will visit because all those people have passed who would have taken flowers to them. Can you recognize a place you've never been? During the hot dry Southern California summer of 2018, while nursing a broken toe inside with the air conditioning, I began an online search of National Trust gardens in the UK. I discovered the Rococo Gardens at Painswick, and at the time they had some charming short videos on their website, where the head gardener or his assistant would take you 'round while they performed various chores around the place. So much fun to see, and there was plenty of footage of the snow drops. And who doesn't love a gothic folly or three? Hopefully you can see the garden again in spring or summer; the espaliered pear and apple trees in bloom are so beautiful! Cheers, dear! :)
