As I was thinking on this. I realized where she went to tell the others, was probably where the ostracized people lived, all living in their sin publicly and she ran to them and said. "This man, He didn't think he was "too good" to talk with me. He talked with me and showed compassion to me. I am important to him. I am not "too dirty" for him bc he can make me clean. Come see, come see this man who cares for me, he will care for you." I just wonder if it went like that. Oh thank you Jesus Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, And sing praises unto thy name Psalm 18:49

Culturally, how is she an outcast if according to the text, she had husbands;married then.I thought this Israelite of the tribe of Joseph, had done some evangelical work as she had immense knowledge about the Christ(v.25,41,42)The conversation according to my understanding of the text, confirmed what she already knew;that Jesus is the Messiah who is the Christ.Wasn’t it strange then, that Eliasar of Abraham found the woman who was to be Isaac’s wife alone(Genesis:24)I don’t think so.I am aware that great preachers had erred in thing in this fashion(making her a whore)To me,that Jesus passed by that place was expedient;much evangelical work was done by that woman(listen to the people on the day Jesus was to depart after a two day’s stay there(v.41,42)I even tempted to submit that Jesus was taken of a tour which ended at Joseph’s tomb;for it was there(Genesis:33:29/Joshua:24:32)

Unfortunately this is one of the worst sermons I have heard. Background and context are everything and you completely mock it. The poor woman had had so many husbands because she could not oinceive, and inheritance was everything. That i9s why her husbands divorced her. A woman on her own faced starvation and ridicule in her community. I could continue, but would advise all who watch this video to find out the truth for yourself.

@johnworby5130. Pretty harsh criticism, even if your assertions are true regarding this specific woman whom Jesus was speaking to at the well. Not women of the time which is common knowledge historically speaking. She was a Samaritan so she would not have been subjected to Jewish laws. For instance, she was openly living with a man to whom she was not married, yet she was not stoned to death, as was demanded under Jewish law. So then, with regard to this woman spoken of directly in the 4th chapter in the Book of Mark, please cite facts to support your argument for this woman.

@@tammysims8716 All that I have stated was taken from the writings of the sages and Scribes and from the historical writers most of whom who lived in the land and therefore knew it well. I encourage you to do your own research as I have, and in doing so will find a wealth of information which brings a new light and understanding to the Scriptures. The Samaritans did follow Jewish law in principle, and could be likened to the Sadducees in their outlook and interpretation of them. Of course you are entitled to have an opinion of your own, but this is what I have learnt.
