I’m going to encourage you not to believe the lies that your daughter doesn’t care about your situation. I’ve been a geriatric caregiver for 20years and absolutely love my job. I’ve never had a problem being around and caring for other peoples parents however now that my own are becoming older I feel an emotional battle that I’ve never experienced in my life. It’s different when it’s your own mom or dad and I’ve been blessed with the tools. Some people don’t even know how to be supportive during this time. Praying for you, your daughter and the restoration of the mother and daughter relationship

Young mothers, listen to this man. Lighten up! Laugh out loud, there is nothing to regret about this advice. I say this, having gone through a very long hard, heavy season of life. I know this "lighten up" advice is the truth. Where ever you are in your life, lighten up, laugh, enjoy life, who you are, through the lense of Jesus Christ, the truth of the Bible, let those resources mould and direct you. That is all my prayer for myself.

When my eldest son was born 38 years ago there was an article on the tv that said mums need to laugh with her children. There and then I decided to laugh with my children and let me tell you, 3 sons in 3 yrs were not easy, still I laughed a lot!! I was a fierce mum, but i laughed a lot. These boys were sometimes so funny!!! I love them. Today I am a grandmother and I laugh with my grandchildren .🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

My kids are all grown now. Being a single mom I miss my children being home. They all live in different areas and so far away. Every once in a while one of my oldest daughters reminds me of the things they did to each other that I never know. I can laugh now but years ago I needed this . Today it’s so important for parents that are still together and single as i to laugh and not take those things so seriously. There is a time to laugh and to be serious. I needed this ! Thank you!

I hear of so many people saying how wonderful their home groups are… We put lots of time and care into the people that we spent time with in our most recent home group, for close to 3 years. but when life hit us and we didn’t show up to our group, we never got a call.,..And, when we didn’t show up after many weeks we still never got a call. It wasn’t until a half a year later that I got a text from someone and said “hey, how are you doing?” I couldn’t believe it; It was too late at that point. How does something like that happen? It’s just so painful to always hear how all these people are so well cared for in their own personal life groups…But, I don’t want to begrudge a blessing that somebody else has, that we have yet to experience.
@conniemoravec713 Жыл бұрын
@@andreamcintyre9952 and the “not taking our stuff to the group” wasn’t intentional; we got hit hard and were overwhelmed. But, when you don’t have anyone bother to check and wonder what is going on…it’s not ok. That would/should be the rest of the groups responsibility to see why we’re missing. That’s what I would (and always)have done with people. People need to know they matter.

I have always tried to keep laughter in my home, but over the past year I can't do it anymore. I struggle to laugh and I struggle to pray. I ask other people to pray for my son who is currently in prison and is scared for his safety, obviously making me feel paralyzed with fear. Add to that my other son just joined the Army in December. I feel like I am falling apart and my poor daughter is stuck living with me. Please pray for my family, I have lost the strength to get out of this dark place I am living in, but I am trying....
@focusonthefamily Жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing so openly, friend. When the fears and struggles you described assail you, remember that God loves you and it is His desire to help you find peace within yourself. The apostle Paul wrote these words in Philippians Chapter Four, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Know that we’ll be praying for you sons, asking for God’s safety and protection upon them. We’ll also be praying for you and your daughter. May the Lord surround you both with His love and care always. In addition, we encourage you to talk to one of our counselors. Just call 855-771-HELP (4357) weekdays between 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. (MT). God’s best to you!
