Hey Jennifer, this is your cousin Jamie. I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. You've grown into a very beautiful woman and amazing mother & wife. When we were kids, I was always jealous of your dimples, and I must say you're the prettiest one in our family. I missed you at grandma's funeral, but was happy to see Aunt Brenda (your mother) and noticed how much she looks like Grandma. I'm so happy for you and the beautiful family you have. I wish the best for you and your sister Brittany and hope you and your families have all the happiness in the world. 😊

Great to see a role model that is comfortable in her femininity, clear and probably a kick-$ss leader because of the expectations she has for her partner. Love all of this advice especially the one on negativity -- Anticipate the negativity that comes along with the territory. I love who they are together. God bless this marriage, family and business!

I agree. truly confident women are brilliant sources of support, perspective and inspiration. Nowadays we have a worrying number of women whose idea of an empowered woman is effectively a man, and they don't even realise it.
@darkpearl887 жыл бұрын
+80386 actually, people complaining about women being "wannabe men" is what's really getting annoying. don't believe the hype. there is no epidemic of women trying to be men. people are just people.
@the803867 жыл бұрын
I don't have to 'believe' any hype when I've seen its steady increase over the past 20 years living in usa, canada and uk and flying to various european countries. if you think girls today on average are the same as our mothers' generation then you are either in denial or live in a place which is strongly holding onto their values and tradition. everywhere else, you might find exceptions once in a while, but far too many girls these days, especially the ones coming out of liberal art colleges, want all the benefits and 'fun' without responsibility or foresight and have disproportionately high entitlement.
@darkpearl887 жыл бұрын
+80386 "living in usa, canada and uk and flying to various european countries. if you think girls today on average are the same as our mothers' generation" That's a stupid argument. Firstly. who is ever the same as their parents' generation? In the 50s/60s men wore a suit and tie almost every day. Using profanity in public wasn't socially acceptable and neither was spending hours playing video games or watching porn. Secondly, western culture doesn't give a crap about values or tradition, and that's a cultural thing not a gender thing. I'm so sick of hearing western men wishing for traditional women when they themselves are not even worthy of said traditional woman. Thirdly.... "want all the benefits and 'fun' without responsibility or foresight and have disproportionately high entitlement"... that's called being a spoiled westerner, not a woman trying to act like a man.

patience is key because there's always a reason for them to be working, keep arguments private and say "I'm sorry" often, they can be distracted and a little moody, learn new skills, be spontaneous and switch up your schedule sometimes, show you appreciate them, don't be negative when they come to you with problems, make sure that you the entrepreneur show results of your work

Having a wife as an entrepreneur is a great benefit because no one except her and your family will fully respect you and be with you all the times, whether you are doing well or in a financial crisis and stress and other stuff similar to those. Unfortunately, most of women todays only care for money and expensive cars, big houses etc. Marriage is not only for money, it represents two people as one person going trough life, doing best especially for kids to ensure them happy and normal life!!!
@hans-denisjr84178 жыл бұрын

@klaudiabossizabielska80865 жыл бұрын
@@JuiceKarter I don't think that something like a "woman perspective" or a "male perspective" exists in this field (or in any job). I've often been called a man because of the way I think and make decisions. Wrong, I'm a woman and I think like a person.

@damionandy8 жыл бұрын
Patrick, First of, Congrats on the baby! I hope everything goes well for you and your family. This video is extremely accurate. You guys opened my eyes that what my wife and I focus on while I am in the military (and currently on my second and last deployment) is 100% on par with what we need on the civilian side of the house when I am focusing on my business. The five love languages and the CREEDO organization that hosts marriage retreats based on the five love languages for military families has definitely changed our marriage. My wife's love language is acts of service and mine is quality time and words of affirmation. When we were first married and I was preparing for my first deployment, there was a lot of strain because when my wife would lay out my uniforms or mow the lawn so I don't have to worry about it, it didn't hold the same value to me as her taking me out on a surprise date or calling me randomly to tell me that she appreciates me and what I am doing. We had to learn how to effectively communicate to each other. This is just a great video! I love the different perspective! I hope to meet you one day Patrick! - Damion
@VALUETAINMENT8 жыл бұрын
+Damion Anderson First of all, thanks for your service. Secondly, the key to making it work is it being important to you as the entrepreneur to making it work. Obviously, the more we speak about our values and principles upfront it prevents from challenges happening later on but if the desire to make it work isn't a priority on both ends, than it's tough to make it work. Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts. PBD

Thank you for this video! It's so hard finding people to relate to who are dealing with the challenges that come with dating an entrepreneur. Especially the part about dealing with critics... This one is especially sensitive because you don't expect the critics to be your own family members causing friction within the family unit. This video makes me feel less alone as it seems it's a common trend amongst entrepreneurship and that the most important thing is being on the same page as your partner and not allowing the negativity of others in.
