I enjoy writing. I enjoy children and teaching, but I work in corporate healthcare. For not having a degree, I get paid well enough, and it is so secure compared to early childhood. God is always putting me in the path of children and single mothers. I think they might be my calling. I also have had a really strong pull towards doula care. These jobs are not secure and so there is so much fear on my part. I really need to trust God. The issue is I know that working full-time and school is not for me. I have always had issues learning and possibly have some type of learning disability. I barely finished HS (I had to do alternative learning with extra help). So, to really complete these short programs, I need to work less. IDK what to do, but this job is not my calling, school feels like a mountain, and I don't think I can juggle school and work at the same time and this makes me so ashamed of myself because SO many people can. GOD why did you make me like this?

Forgive me, Zee, for not seeing this earlier. I promise you that you are not alone in feeling between a rock and a hard place. In the work I do now, I get a behind the scenes look into the reality of people’s (especially women’s) work/career/finances. Many many people find themselves doing what they “have to” out of the a feeling of necessity or survival, but this is the trick of the enemy. The enemy’s desire is to create a false narrative that you are trapped and without options. THAT IS NOT TRUE! Satan wants us to be enslaved to work we were never created for so we don’t even come close to or even consider God’s ACTUAL purpose for our lives. The devil himself was kick out of heaven, forever rejected from what God actually created him for. He wants us to suffer his same fate, living every day feeling disconnected and without real purpose. WE MUST REJECT THIS! I know first hand what I’m saying is not easy, but the alternative is also not easy (trust me I have seen where purposeless leads to in your latter years). The devil is miserable and he wants to make you just as miserable. But God has given us Power, Joy, Peace and Purpose. I know this is not easy as I experience struggles myself in this season of life, but the only way forward is to say, “Yes, Lord! I’m going to trust you!” And take a leap of faith. God loves you too much to let you fall and He will never betray His promise to “never leave or forsake you”. If He’s tugging on your heart to do something, believe that He’s has your business plan already written. He will reveal how you will sustain yourself while you study. He will give you supernatural clarity as you get close to doing what you were created for. He’s done it for me. I used to get straight Ds and Fs. As soon as I found what I was meant to do, I was on the President’s List, graduated top of my class with a 4.1 GPA and multiple AP classes. GOD CAN AND HE WILL! Do not fear, just believe! (Luke 8:20)

This was beyond helpful! I'm so grateful God called you to make this and that you answered. So many videos talk about marriage and the choice between taking care of a husband and kids or going to work. But I'm not married and don't know if God has that instore for me, so in the meantime what am I supposed to be doing to take care of myself? Or how do I glorify God with my life, if it isn't through being a wife and mother?...Cultivating the gifts that God has given me is an amazing answer, and really makes the rest of what God has been telling me click into place. Thank you 🙏
