Wow, their conversation at night was really great, looked like it was a real live movie with all the angles and the little reactions in their faces, eyebrows rising, eyes widening and so on... the whole thing is really well done.

I am blown away by these video comics! A great idea, brilliantly executed. And your vision of Conan as is a moral, human hero is *the best*.

"It's the man most intent on avoiding a fight, who finds himself right in the middle of one." This is how you know this is Conan, and not Schwarzenegger

I think this is supposed to be back when Conan was young. Thats probably why they didn't go with a deeper voice.

It's not what you're after really, but you can always look at the very end of the videos. They provide links to last week's episode as well as next week's - at least it would let you know if there is one more coming.

i read this in marvel in the 80's. i too fell in love with belit. would that i could be a part of her crew, to simply be in her terrible presence.

Yeah it is, but even so, he sounds kind of, I don't know, weasely. It's the way he talks, quietly like he's afraid who hears. Conan, especially at that age, was loud and boisterous, like a bull who didn't give a shit that he was in a china shop. It wasn't till later that he learned the virtues of not attracting attention to yourself. I don't like to be that guy, but I can't help being a purist with things.

Could you add a link in the description to the next episode, for each video?

What animation software was used for this?

Don't you guys think they took the description of Bêlit's skin literally? Just like bronze is used to describe Conan's, I think Bêlit is not really ivory white, just pale, but not ghostly white like they depicted her. I don't think she's albino neither as she has black hair. I just think it was a weird decision.

Can you please write how much parts a story has. I alway try to wait and enjoy a story when it's finished. ex: Dark Horse Comics - Conan: Queen of The Black Coast pt. 2 of 3 with that i could know when the story is complete.

My only criticism is that the voice isn't right for Conan, it's not deep enough. I do think the voice actor would be perfect for an animated adaptation of Michael Moorcocks Elric character though.

I thought Conan was orphaned when his village was raided? That village looked like an awfully cold place to be in Sumer? Or was that the people who raised him were Sumerian? Or does the movie not follow the lore?
@mudbutt2347 жыл бұрын
Conan being orphaned was something the movies made up. That never happened. In the original books, his grandfather was an adventurer and used to tell him stories of the outside world. When Conan was around 16-17 he left his village to find adventure and see the places his grandfather told him about. Also, he comes from Cimmeria, it's a made up place but it and every country is based on real cultures. For example, Cimmerians are inspired by the Celts from Scotland/Ireland and Stygians are inspired by Egyptians, etc. The writer, Robert E. Howard, wanted to write about ancient cultures but some of them were separated by thousands of years, so he just created his own versions based on those cultures. Hope that helps.

+Kevin McCallister You have not really read any of Robert E. Howard's books. He is actually rather eloquent for some reason..... But that may have to do more with Howard's own overly exuberant prose.
@kolsveinnskraevolding7 жыл бұрын
In fairness, a lot of early 20th century fiction is like that.
