I have been where you are at with my son many years ago. I was broke with few options. Who you are... Even in your grief... Giving the present of your presence... to your son is priceless. Your togetherness... Walking through this valley... That he sees you looking up... demonstrates how to have courage and take a strong hold on the rope of hope and not let go! as you wait afor a door of hope to appear. It will! "I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and make the Valley of Achor ( trouble) a door of hope. (Hosea 2:15) "Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca (tears), they make it a place of springs, the autumn rains (blessings from heaven) also cover the valley with pools. They go from strength to strength till each appears before God in Zion." (Ps 84:5-6). Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You that you never, no never, not ever leave or forsake us. This is Your promise to us. You are trustworthy. Your word to us is trustworthy. Your words are strong and simple: Fear not. Come to Me you who are weary and heavy with burdens and I. will. give. You. Rest. Peace - Be still. Light of the World step into this dear mom's grieving heart and into her son's sadness... And speak, "Let there be light!" Warmth. Perspective. Comfort. You are the God of all hope. Wonderful Counselor! Lift her up to take a step of faith... Sweet, soothing, quiet Spirit pour out Your healing presence!!! May remembering the blessings of the past... Persevering and enduring this cold and bitter winter of the soul till the springtime comes again... certainly a sacrifice in this present grief... Honor You. I know You console and soothe what no human, no medicine can. May she join her son's heart in a way that speaks to his pain as well and celebrate one another and the Life you offer that is truly life. We grieve as those who have hope, a living hope. Your blood, Lord Jesus, has spoken healing and comfort no man can explain! I cry out loud, "Lord, comfort this wound and heal it, in the name of Jesus, for Your glory!" I backslid in the past many times because of so much discouragement from bad situations and the stubborn evil I am dealing with. This is what Satan wants. Weather weak or strong, be in the will of God and everything will work together for our good to glorify God. Faith is in the unseen. I am everything and in every place that you are describing here. This has been a nightmare. And then I feel so much guilt and shame and condemnation for my helplessness helplessness. I cry out cry out to the Lord day and night. It breaks my heart to see some of the other comments here and most of them I imagine, like myself, are not baby Christians, we are not people who are carnal or clueless, but we love the Lord and have with all of our hearts and find ourselves in heartbreaking and bewildering situations that we have no answers for and we feel abandoned to. This was such a precious word of Hope, and I'm clinging to it with all my life!

God spoke the world into existence (Ps. 33:8,9), He creates by speaking. We are created in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:27; 5:1), what we speak believing comes to pass (Mark 11:23; Romans 10:9; Rev. 12:11). I believe that it happens gradually, not necessarily instantaneously, which can mislead us into thinking that it does not happen at all. Speaking is like sowing seed (Mark 4:14), seed needs time to produce fruit. Tomatoes take about 5 months, apples take about 5 years. We have spiritual enemies which use deception against us. If they can deceive us into speaking what they want, it will eventually come to pass. This is how they control us. It is important that we choose to believe God’s Word and speak only it and nothing contrary to it. Thoughts become words and words become reality. Monitor your thoughts closely and resist/reject negative, depressing, destructive thoughts, emotions, desires, etc. Learn scripture and practice speaking it in faith with patience and persistence. It will gradually change your life. Best wishes to all.
