My therapist had a tip for negative self talk: when you catch yourself thinking negative things towards yourself, say "I'm sorry." Apologize to yourself just like if it had been someone else you were talking to like that. This small act of self-forgiveness can help to encourage higher self esteem, and stop beating yourself up over not being "good enough."

this does not whatsoever come off as bragging or being an unattainable influencer goal. this is pure art form of the beauty and purity of new york fashion week. other influencers, they use nyfw as a bragging tool, something to prove they are worth this popularity. i personally feel they have no sense of gratefulness. you appreciate every inch of fashion and shows, this shows everyone how every little detail counts to add to the art of fashion. thank you for showing us the bts and the beauty we are all missing of this gratifying fashion. :)

sometimes i get kind of annoyed when she talks about not wanting to brag and set an unattainable standard while being very obvious through her actions her explaining very thoroughly how the process is attainable and is based on the industry you're in and the contacts you've made. Ashley, you don't have to apologize for every move you make, you don't always have to explain yourself. We know you deserve this, we know you aren't bragging, we know this is your job. You're allowed to be confident and show off a fun part of your life without downplaying it to us.

Of course it is her just being open and showing us her inner dialogue but there is something to be said about letting your accomplishments stand for itself when you have a long track record of being humble, appreciative and grateful. 6:49 here's some Uber/Lyft advice to keep you all safe! Instead of saying "are you here for [my name]?" say "hi who are you here to pick up?" or "what's your name?" Then if they answer correctly you can respond with "hi, [your name] right?" or "hi I'm [my name]" so your driver knows you're also who you're supposed to be and everyone feels safer. If you say "are you here for [my name]?" your driver could just lie and say yes. And of course always check that the car type and plates match the app 😊Stay safe everybody!

Your comment about Fashion week not being "that deep" makes me think of how looked down fashion is; it's seen as something that's only superficial, snobbish and that lacks intellectual value, but the truth is that there's so much work, skill, creativity and inspiration behind it. It's a personal form of expression and even a way to feel good about yourself and connect with others. And not only talking about high fashion, but being able to look a certain way that makes YOU feel you, or taking outside inspiration to create your own aesthetic and being able to see what others like and get inspired by... it's so much more than just clothes and trends. I hope you never feel less smart or "deep" just because you're into fashion, you're clearly an intelligent, creative, and super hard working person, and you have a lot of people who support you and want to see you grow

When you become more successful, all of that guilt you feel for your success, give it back by closely mentoring someone. Maybe a boy or girl of color... a person that wants to be in your place but can’t reach it because their environment makes it seem impossible. The bottom line is, it’s amazing you’ve come from being a regular girl and then gaining access to the industry. The imposter syndrome is such a real and tough thing to battle, so to combat it, give back to someone on a more interpersonal level.
