Hey Terry. With a huge number of people not renewing their tv licence, I was wondering if you could do a video covering it (not much on Irish Tv licence law on KZbin). I suppose the big questions I would like input on would be, Do you have to make a decleration if you haven't a tv by law? Do you have to give your name to a tv licence inspector? Do you have to even answer the door to them? Personally, I don't have a tv, and no interesest in getting one, but I really don't want to give my name on a declartation to them as I have read the harass you ever year and An post can be quick to issue a summons once the have your name. I don't want to be on their database.

Wrc and labour court does not have same powers of enforcement of “rules” as proper common law courts. They are effectively tribunals not courts at all hence are boards or commitees that act as buffers before people proper courts. Adjudicators and judges dont care about rules being enforced as they are simply happy to get the case heard and not postpone:

Never been in WRC but I can only imagine the nonsense people have to put up with from public sector drones. Understandable to be annoyed coming out Terry.

Hi Terry mybe some time you'd do a video on what defines a business day ? There seems too be some confusion at times, am I right in saying it's Monday- Friday ?& although postoffices & some banks specially in the UK are open half day Saturday it's still not a buisness day , thanks

I think that was the Davenport hotel. In my experience the WRC tends to favour the employee. Will be interesting to see how the case goes.

If the rules are not complied - I wd consider asking the adjudicator that the opposing side pays the employees legal cost for the wasted day. Do they have discretion to do this?

I went to the WRC once and the HR lady for a multi-national tech company started producing emails open for editing with the cursor flashing where she edited emails during the meeting. She never gave me the employee handbook despite being asked multiple times and decided to produce false evidence during the meeting on her laptop.

That's like what happened to Enoch Burke in March before Judge Alexander Owens. Mason Hayes and Curran made changes to their submission and said nothing. The judge didn't ask the solicitors for an explanation and the barristers put on a big act - all of them playing their part to avoid dealing with the real issue. Meanwhile lining their pockets of course.

Well at least it seems that the Adjudicator had to acknowledge the failure on the other side.
