These things truly leave me speechless. The simple word of God is always more than enough. My husband and I were brought to God by some close friends of ours that we truly respect, another married couple. And it was so simple. They held us accountable, told us they knew that Jesus was the only true way to God and there is no other way and He is what we were missing in our lives. Shared their testimonies, and helped us work through concerns we had. On the car ride home, the Holy Spirit moved over our conversation on it and we accepted Jesus before we stepped back into our home that day and have been committed since. Worldly behavior is the exact thing that drove us away from the church and the faith. Yet someone standing on the word of God and living a set apart life was exactly what we needed to pull us back in.

I would ask you family let's take it a little further look at the scriptures carefully we are to keep God's commandments laws and statutes that includes the Sabbath day the dietary law the Lord's feast these are not Jewish customs these are God's commandments and we are to keep them for a reason. Church today is so wrapped up in entertainment emotions and feelings it has nothing to do with biblical scripture. Many people don't realize it but we started moving in this downward slope when we got away from God's commandments laws and statutes. Black people went into slavery because of their disobedience to God. Sunday Church Easter Christmas 🎄 various other customs and rituals that we're all guilty of participating in and celebrating are all pagan and not of the Bible. If you go to a club and preach a gospel while getting drunk and dancing on all the women, then of course they are going to accept "Christ". Because who wouldn't want their soul saved while being allowed to live a worldly sinful life? Now tell these people they can no longer have sex outside of marriage, they cant be drunk, they have to be honest, they cannot smack someone who disrespected them, then see how fast they run from "Christ". Sinners who want to live in sin will not accept a God who hates sin but they will flock to a God who loves sin!

I was raised in a drug and alcohol family and community, I usually can spot a person on a drug, this guy Murphy reminds me of one of those people. BriarP., I have poured out my heart day and night for so long. When my depression lifts I feel in my heart that God has forgiven me. Then my mood drops very low and I have thoughts that God sees me as an abomination. I pray that these thoughts leave and never return 😢

Amanda, I understand your pain! I have suffered with bouts of depression my whole life. I’m sure you already know the importance of being in God’s Word every day for wisdom and comfort. Along with this some older Christian books have been helpful… Spiritual Depression by Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Spurgeon’s Sorrows by Zach Eswine, and Depression by Edward Welch. There is a more recent book that I just bought on Kindle called Hollow Heart by Luke Italiano. The cover says “I have depression. Jesus has me.” Luke Italiano is a pastor that has struggled with depression. Prayers for your strength and healing through these trials and tribulations! ✝️❤️🙏

I absolutely understand how you feel but that's nothing but the enemy bcuz they're is not therefore NO CONDEMNATION for those that are in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit only convicts, He doesn't condemn us. But Satan is the accuser of man and he will do everything he can to make you feel unloved and unworthy of love from Christ. Simply bcuz he is the one that will never have the love of Christ Jesus and he himself is condemned. I tell you, Satan is the ultimate narcissist. God promised that when we sincerely repent and ask for forgiveness, He forgives our sins and throws them into the sea of forgetfulness. God literally wipes the slate clean like it never happened, and we start all over again. The problem is that although God has forgotten our sins, we continue to remind Him of what we've done that he's already forgiven us for. We cannot doubt that Jesus' death on the cross was sufficient to cover even the worst of sins. If He can forgive murderers and rapists, how much more can he forgive our sins. When the devil begins to put negative thoughts in your head, rebuke him and tell him that he's a liar bcuz you have been redeemed and washed clean by the shed blood of the Lamb which covers all of your sins. Write down some of the promises given to us in the scriptures and repeat them out loud. Once Satan realizes that those tactics are no longer working, he'll move along. Also, one of Satan's tactics is to use personal pronouns like I, my and me when putting thoughts into your head to make you believe that they're your own thoughts. Rebuke every negative thought that comes into your mind and don't automatically assume it's a thought of your own. You've got this bcuz it has been written and we already have the victory. You just have to believe that and then claim it, in Jesus' name.

Its been a year now and i started winning like crazy, then once i started learning the game more ive been losing, drinking everyday, gambling like an animal, spending 💰 i dont have, though I've met more people and preached Christ to them my focus shifted from the mission, its been all about poker and ive lost 2 good jobs due to anxiety and drinking! I thought I could be light in the darkness, I actually thought the extra $ I was making was blessed. Lord have mercy on me, I fell so far. I hit rock bottom. BUT GOD!!! That was 25 years ago. Thissss is confirmation because my Pastor literally taught Bible Study tonight about contending for the Faith and we was also in Jude!!!! As us being believers and representing The Body of Christ, it is our duty to correct things that are not of God because other believers are going to think this is okay when its not. They got saved because of gimmicks/personality not because of the word. It's not judgement but the bible also says that love corrects. We don't get people saved we present the gospel and God does the saving, we thank God not ourselves. That he gives us the ability to represent him is an honor. We do not promote sin, we call it out and the need to repent, that's what Jesus died for to deliver us from sin not to promote it as something to be proud of. Pray for both of these men neither is perfect and makes mistakes let God be true and every man a liar. We should rebuke obvious sin with the goal of restoration and do it with love and grace yet boldly.. In the spirit not emotional flesh.

Karen Robinson, thank you for adding me to your prayer list. Thank you for encouraging me to stay with the Lord Jesus and resist the damning criticism of the enemy. I take powerful psychotropic medications day and night. These medications help my moods to stabilize during the day and medications to remove the voices at night,so I can sleep. It's amazing how God has kept me from killing myself. Only God knows my journey. I was mentally and physically abused by my family when I was child until I enlisted in the military. I can't seem to forget and move on. I depend on God to carry me daily! I haven't been to church in a long while because I thought the congregation, and especially; God didn't want me there. But I'm going to go back to church and worship God as best I can.
