@@SlyCarey Nothing of what he said made sense. It's more his attitude that gets to me. It felt as if, gosh, Klopp is leaving, so we might as well give up, type of attitude. We all understand it would probably be different, might even take a while to get going properly, but one cannot throw their hands up in the air and display no competitive spirit and be in this industry. Positivity and the competitive spirit is part of the game, absolutely no place for negativity. If every single manager/coach in the world felt like I don't want to go in after Klopp, like this guy seems to think, then you might as well dissolve the club. Changing managers has happened before and will happen again right across the league. The club makes a decision and whomever comes in and believes they can do a job and has the confidence in themselves to try and deliver, deserves respect and ample time before being shot down. Nobody is bigger than the club, this includes players and staff including the manager/coach. A wait, see and review methodology might serve this guy, and any other so called pundit better. In this type of situation, it is always better to allow the new person the benefit of the doubt, rather than forming a deluded opinion without evidence. Being on a public type of forum, you would think this guy would have figured this out by now. Much better than eating your words and hiding later on.

Arne Slot has a 75% win rate and his spoken of very highly by his peers and all that have worked with him,yes it’s a massive step up from Eredivisie with greatest respect, Michael Edward’s has done his due diligence and analytics and he knows what he is doing and has afforded respect of LFC supporters so he deserves his chance.

That’s the problem though, no Dutch manager has been successful in the PL, not one. There’s been quite a few over the years and they haven’t been good enough. What makes people think Slot will be different? Obviously I’ll give him a chance and back him, but if he doesn’t do well in his first 6-8 months I could see him being under serious pressure.

Firstly,, who says he was 3rd choice .. alonso said he was staying and discussion didnt get off the ground( and yes i was excited about him but again very new to management) Amorim we didnt fully pursue. I believe Liverpool would of evaluated many managers and possibly contacted them all about availability... In lots of ways slot seems a perfect replacement based on our squad and similar playing styles. Also character is very important... Look how he is handling thr press compared to Amorim, who now as apologised to sporting. All we can do is welcome and support him

looks to me that a lot more Liverpool fans did their homework on Arne Slot than this dude, most seem to be very positive and rightfully so, you can't predict what's going to happen with the results but Liverpool has certainly chosen for a trainer or coach or whatever you call him that plays in the same style football, modern type of coaching and approach to players and as a personality also a lot of similarity's with Klopp. As said, Liverpool and lot of fans have done their homework a lot better than this dude. And if it goes wrong, this is football, I guarantee you that he didn't spend 250 million, he probably made the club money

Mo is done TBH. Hasn't gone past a player in two years - 32 and on 350-400k a week. The midfield issue needs sorting - still - and we need to defend properly. Mo going funds that - and we scored plenty when he was out of the team. His most energetic game in two years after the spat with JK - says it all really. I'm looking forward to the new guy: everyone who is on board will be on their toes to impress - those that aren't and just want to run their contracts down can play in the youth teams.
