I’m sure glad we begged and bugged Jerry Lee so he would produce these comforters. This is a GREAT video!!

The pics have me drooling. I'm getting at least two. One to make a simple bag, and another more complicated one. Thanks for watching!

That is a nice way to get it done with less work. One thing that natives made that was used here in the north and well in to Canada to about the mid 1950s is a rabbit skin blanket sometimes called Waabooyan which in Ojibwe means rabbit skin blanket. That term transfered to wool blanket or just to mean blanket. These are not just hides sewn together, but are extremely warm. Calvin Rutstrum wrote that you might want to sew a cover for it so it didn't shed hair on everything. My understanding they even made them from jack rabbits in the southwest. EH Kreps showed a somewhat complicated design. This link will give you an idea of how it's done.

Thanks for watching! Apparently, KZbin doesn't like links in DMs so it didn't show up. I do understand the concept and have heard of it before. Thanks!

I'm looking them up right now- I have a great camp sleeping setup, but my husband is still searching for a solution.

This is a good solution for a Living History application, but I am currently making one for my SUV camper set up. Thanks for watching!

I can't find this particular item on the website. Great site, however. Lots of cool vintage stuff.

Thanks for watching! It hasn't been released yet. They're in production, just waiting to be sent to the warehouse and all the associated paperwork.
