A year ago today I was told I was a carrier of the CDH1 Gene...

Its been 12 months today since we found out I tested positive to be a carrier of the CDH1 gene mutation. The past 12-18 months have been an emotional rollercoaster!

Did you fill the familiar criteria or did you find without any family history of gastric cancer? In my family my mom died of that

PEPE DESTROYER Well nobody knew anything about it in the family until a few family members died of gastric cancer and when the doctors looked in to it they found out it was that.

Adam, Thanks a lot for the information, my mom until now is the first documented case. I am not sure if this is hereditary. They have already done the sequencying of the gene and did´t find anything. They suggest another test called MLPA for deletion and duplications and the gene. Because I was in doubt and took it but I am not sure and I feel anxiety about that. How did you cope with fear of cancer? Do you have any tip or advice for me?

PEPE DESTROYER Well I only just found out a few months ago to be fair so not really sunk in yet but yeah I feel fine about it but just put it to back of my mind. I am having some tests done at hospital next month but my dad had his stomach removed last May so they might want me to do the same. Also two of my cousins have had their stomachs removed aswell.
