Marking a year since my first KZbin video, I reflect on the evolution from a simple Instagram account for my sons, to this growing channel. As I've shared my personal watch stories, your support has been invaluable.
Thank you.
As we move forward, I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the direction we might take. Leave your suggestions in the comments or email me directly. Your insights will help shape the journey ahead.

Keep them coming. Even though I will never be able to afford watches in the price range you've got I still enjoy them a lot. It is not about the price, it is all down to pashion.

You have a very special way of presenting your thoughts - you TALK :) Most other channels are either promoting something, or advertising, or criticizing, or selling, you name it. This is why the initial interest in most of those channels disappears rather quickly. On the other hand, since the first video about your Zeitwerk fiasco, I keep coming here, just to enjoy listening to your views and stories. I like how you talk about your watches and that you do not have an "agenda", and you do not try to "send a message". You speak like a human, which not so many people are capable of :) Cheers, and best of luck.

It has been really great to get to know you as a collector since I encountered the channel when only 2 videos had come out. Your unique fascination with Lange as well as Bremont (a brand that had really been out of my sight) was truly the mark of a seasoned hobbyist. My suggestion is just to keep doing what you are doing; discuss topics that ultimately all collectors think about but only really share in private. Admittedly, I'm a Grand Seiko fanboy, so I would love a video outlining Swiss vs German vs Japanese watchmaking in particular (Just to see that sbgy003 again hehe). Maybe talk about how our attitudes and perspectives change as we get exposed to higher horology pieces. I recently had a special moment where my entire concept of a "good" watch was flipped on its head after handling the new Ruri Credor Eichii II. Words could not describe the feeling of taking 2 minutes to carefully size the deployant buckle while explaining to the lucky buyer (a close friend) just how amazing his watch was. Another topic may be about how to introduce watches to the next generation. My father is also a collector and we often share pieces (his collection is far better than mine so I'm always glad to haha). It was about 4 or 5 years ago when he jokingly handed me his new 5711 in white and I had absolutely no idea just how special (nor expensive) of a watch that was. Since he's not one to showoff his wealth, it came off as really surprising to me at the time. One day, it just clicked in my head, and now I'm the one who's always influencing his collection hahaha. Anyways, as long as you produce the content you want to produce, I will be there to see it! Cheers.

I rather enjoy your story telling approach. Here are a few topics: - watch collecting philosophy - favorite watch functions vs ones that irritate - what’s next for the watch box - collecting for value vs collecting in a down market

Why change anything, we appreciate this channel being the way it is. Develop naturally and trust your gut feeling, expanding may mean loss of anonymity yet it may come with a greater exposure. I would recommend that for a motion picture you consider these improvements: ensure there is no dust or fluff before taking your camera to the piece, use a polarizing filter on the lens and adjust ad hoc, when using a table / tripod make it sturdy. I totally get that one may wish to start filming impromptu making it hard for organizing the "set", it still could be worth the extra effort. Regardless, it all looks and sounds good, is very easy to consume and on 2nd round listen in the background too. Keep up the good work of sharing your thoughts with the wider audience, for many it is a chance to get the feel for a watch we may never have or never thought we may desire. IP

Love your channel! Gives me a chance to partake of a world that I only have a kind of poetic connection to. I have watched the Zeitwerk fiasco time and time again. If something like that happened to me, I'd "verzweifel!" Thank goodness, such an experiance is not in my catalog.

Your content here is unique and I think utterly fantastic. I was hooked immediately seeing my first video from you, which was you A. Lange saga. I’d like to hear anything about you own, or admire, or are just curious about watch wise. As well, it would be interesting to hear about your interests in all things horological. Great channel, and hope to see more content. I don’t use IG but if I do, I’ll be checking you out.

First thanks Congrats whit the 1 year. As i wrote you to insta once before i thanked you for helping to buy my first ALS. The things i really enjoy about your channel its personal en personal experiences you had. En not like all the other channels its not about you as person that we see you're face its 100% about the watches ore the brand. Something i understand probably started because of safety but shows also way more that this channel is truly about watches en not about the people in it. Somethings that could be interesting. Maybe look for a collaboration whit one ore to video's about. - Greymarket (i have the feeling you are lucky that you started on the right moment so never had issues to get most wachtes you wanted) - Ask people for personal stories about wachtes, en make a video where watches all can stand for. As some have personal memories whit it. Ore wanne make personal memories whit it. Ore see it as a safe way to keep there money safe Ore just love the design of it. ore i dont know. - Maybe some stories where to maintenance watches? Or how to maintenance them yourself? En the tools you need buy (bergeon) - maybe a video about what a watch needs to get in you're collection? - ore how you see youre personal collection in total? I can keep going. Best regards, Olivier

I came across your videos literally days ago and now desperately crave a Lange 1 (hitherto unknown to me), for which I hold you responsible. Watch enthusiast topics could be perhaps: What makes a collector tick (pun intended); the bases on which you - and other collectors - select your pieces; make vs merit; the ones that got away. Why haven’t you acquired a (genuine) Patek Aquanaut?

I really enjoy your videos and the Insight you provide for researching, buying, owning and wearing those exclusive timepieces. I think your audience would very much appreciate your opinions and over all views on watches and brands, that are currently not in your possession, like you did with the Luis Vuitton watch in the short video. Maybe you could also make a video about watches or features of watches, that you dislike.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have mostly stuck to watches that I have bought / own, and I speak about my watches (and those that are of interest to me) from an owners perspective. For me, that’s the acid test: putting all the talk aside, am I prepared to part with money to buy a watch ? But yes, I will have a think about features of watches that I own, which I like… 👍🙏

Would really like to hear your opinions, maybe even reviews of the luxury watches on the market. Also, what is your perceived opinion of the different brands. Which would be for you your "dream watches" and how do you feel about the pricing policies of high end brands in general. Would also be interesting to know a bit about yourself and any other hobbies you may have. Finally, why do you have this particular passion and where do you see it going.

Personally, I find the video format lends itself to a more in depth analysis and your presentation is very enjoyable and to the point. Hearing your opinion on different watches on the market could be very interesting and something I would look forward to, as a fellow watch enthusiast. Regarding the dream watches, it could be a way to have a deeper understanding of what these pieces actually mean to us and how far can that sentiment go when talking about watches that are in the upper echelon of the market. In any case, it's great to have found your channel and can draw parallels with my own experiences, so thanks for that.

Hi I’m a new subscriber and as an owner of a couple of Tudor watches is really welcome your thoughts on the Brand and it’s offerings.. I currently own a bb58 and the 42 mm original pelagos on the bracelet in titanium. Is this a brand you have ever considered or avoided for any reason . And what are your thoughts on their progression certainly in the last decade to where they sit now .

Very interesting… thanks for sharing the idea. I don’t own any Tudor watches but I have been tempted on a few occasions. I have only really made videos on watches I have bought and owned hitherto - The Twelve video is a bit of an anomaly. Might have to make an exception and do a video with my thoughts on Tudor…
