I like to wear my watches slightly on the loose side. Gives that slightly laid back "sprezzatura" look. So my watches are going from on and off the bone alle time... I would say 50/50. I think that s the best way to go about it.

Off course it’s obvious 🤷🏼‍♂️. 2:49 look at where the crown is positioned- a slight raise of the palm would dig it into the wrist.. and it restricts the overall movement of that hand- you probably would need a jingle of that watch wearing hand, on an upright angle- before doing anything comfortably. Just my humble opinion. Can’t argue with personal preferences.

I wear very loosely in these summer months, I live in souther europe. The watch can walk over the bone when I put it, but 15 minutes later it is so sweaty, it doesnt move around at all. And it sits left of the bone. I tried forcin it over the bone and it doesnt make a difference as long as i am not doing anything. As soon as my hands are put in motion, the watch goes to the left cuz that is where it makes the least pressure on the hand. I understand wearing a thin dress watch with a leather strap under cuff on the bone or right of it to make it more accessible, but for bulkier watches i see no benefits and a lot of potential discomfort. Allthrough people in colder climate get to wear ahirts with cuffs and its not so unbearably hot, so it could be different

I always wear my watch on the bone. I've been doing that for 47 years now. In all those years, I've never had to go to the doctor because of wearing my watch the "wrong" way. Telling the salesman to "sod off" is a lot more polite than I would have been.

I wasn't wearing a watch when I saw this video and I actually had to go and put one on to find out exactly where I was wearing it, Like you, I had never even thought about this and just wore my watches where they were comfortable for me. It turns out that this means "on the bone" - but only just. The one problem with this location is that some metal bracelets can be uncomfortable, particularly if they have wide links that do not conform well to the contours of my wrist.

To me , it depends on what type of watch I'm wearing " I will wear not direct on the wrist bone on a ultra-thin case bracelets type to showcase the beauty slimmest of the watch case " It does not deteriorated the straps due to sweating since it was in metal" will apply the opposite if watch I wear was leather straps , I prefer it to be sat on the wrist bone for better ventilation "

I grew up in a rough place and quickly discovered that when worn around the bone, the springs bars can snap easily during a scrap. I wear it off the bone. But whatever is comfortable for you should be the answer.

I recall when I first got into watches and started visiting ADs. Every single one would put the watch ON my wrist bone then prop a small mirror so I could see how others see the watch on my wrist. It felt unnatural to wear a watch on the bone but I always liked the look on its reflection, *especially* if I really liked the watch. I ended up wearing my watches off the bone but this video has me second guessing myself, just like the video’s creator hahaha. The “pulling back the cuff” scenario is a good pro-bone argument 😉

I have enough room in front of the bone for my watch to sit, and that is normally where I wear my watches. But they do tend to move in a position that makes it difficult to read the time and now I am questioning everything.

I like my steaks and my watches ON the bone. When i have tried them "up" the wrist it looks like I'm wearing some odd bracelet. That salesperson's arrogance doesn't really surprise me, considering where you were shopping...but if I may be so bold; telling someone what the right way to wear a watch is akin to telling them what technique is preferred for a "private act" ! there i've said it! Your watches to me, look great as you normally wear them. But that's just me...

The only right way is the most comfortable way for you. Daniel can piss off. I’m left handed and wear my watch on my right wrist on and off the bone depending on the size and weight of the watch. Heavy watches have to go on the bone or else I get a weird nerve pain. So with that said, I mainly wear my watches slightly loose (pinky can fit between clasp and wrist) and then sit the top left lug on the bone as it’s on my right wrist. Then I adjust from there depending on the watch.
