A year of the Ukraine-Russia war, as it happened

When Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24 2022, the world we lived in changed. Vladimir Putin's 'special military operation' was met with fierce opposition from the Ukrainian people - many of whom resent Russia for their earlier annexation of Crimea in 2014.
Led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who stayed in the bombarded capital Kyiv to defend his nation, Ukraine has retaken cities seized by Russia in recent months as they look to end the war. This is the story, month by month, of a past year of war in Ukraine.

I’ve always had a “quit coming here” attitude towards migrants and refugees but I want all Ukrainians to come to America where it’s safe and they can live a waaaaaay better life. Real talk. Vladimir “Poop Stain”aka” Putin’ out and ready to pout” Putin could have mobilized his propaganda’d out robots to fix the interior of Russia but he continues to turn whatever he touches to rubble while he hides in his Kremlin castle bubble. volodymir Zelenekski is nothing but an inspiration and he commands respect. A true leader that’s real to his people: more power to Ukraine!!

I really don't like how in the beginning the reporter asked the 8 months pregnant women how she felt about her baby not being able to be born at home in Ukraine knowing that she is 8 months pregnant, terrified, hormonal, and exhausted knowing that that question would make her break down. I know it's the truth but with how much tragedy this poor lady has probably went through he shouldn't have brought that up because he knew it would make her cry...

Because they Don't tie them to the legs because that takes too long. They run circles around the back legs with the tape, then feed it around the outside of the human and chair legs. This is true, and we hear very few world leaders explicitly saying this because the West wants to distance themselves from their failure and lack of will in fulfilling their obligations and act on the security guarantees given to Ukraine when they gave up their nuclear deterrent.

@@django3422 I heard the recording of Victoria Nuland of the US planning how to throw over the Ukrainian government to install Yatsenyuk. Zelensky is a puppet.

That guy who drops off his family at the border and goes back to Ukraine to join the army... That must have been the hardest thing he had to do in his life... Slava Ukraini.

it's kinda sad that in an age where we yak on about gender equality, we literally condemn men to death, yet extract women (and children) from such situations. In a truly gender neutral world, it really should only be the kids that are evacuated.
