Looks like Shamrock's doing *much* better! I've never even met him before but I'm actually really proud :)

Whoa! (no pun intended!) *M-A-J-O-R* improvement! :-D It looks like Shamrock is learning to respect you (I love his cheeky nature) and you sound so much more confident with him. :-) Keep up the great work! :-D

Glad you're hanging in there Nick. Shamrock sure is a sweetheart. Hope to see more of the two of you.
A year on, the more and more confidence, respect, relaxing 'Whoa! and love...Just beautiful! Thank you for posting the video!

Wow! I'm so impressed!!! Thanks for posting this "happy ending." Having fallen off my draft/TB cross (and broke my pelvis) when he unexpectedly broke into a gallop (in my first show, no less!), this is very inspirational!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! That looked great fun and nicely done - both of you.
i see improvement in both of you, you are a lot more confident and relaxed and shamrock is a lot more easier to handle. The reason why you can handle her is because you speak with a clear voice, meaning, in the video where she takes off and you couldn't control her is because you were panicking, she felt your fear and because of that she just ran faster and faster, a horse can feel it when his rider is scared or not. Just try to stay calm in every situation and your horse will stay calm too.

Lovely to see this! I have my own racehorse that's off the track and has been with me for 7 months....there have been many WOAHS! but he's worth it!

Is this Shamrock? If so I love it. No broken anythings for man and his horse.

This is Olive, another ex-racer but not quite as..... keen.... as Sham.

I also must add, looks like you gave some amazing hacking, I'd love to ride that canter myself.
@itzmeg39886 жыл бұрын
I mean the only part that you cantered was in the last like 5 seconds 😂 other than that you were galloping...
@msrcp79385 жыл бұрын
Lol so true 😂 Woahhh Shamrock.....
@silverkitty25035 жыл бұрын
@@msrcp7938 Its a forward fast canter. But a canter still. I don't think sham does collected canters he just a wild rebel!
@Leelz2473 жыл бұрын
I'd be saying "gooood girl" while being scared shitless through that beginning, lol
@amywright81843 жыл бұрын
That’s a racehorse canter tho
@melissaannspake79903 жыл бұрын
It’s a three beat canter
@moirhann6 жыл бұрын
WOW.. awesome... nothing better than cantering a racehorse :)
@ollieedwards41553 жыл бұрын
For anyone who said this was a gallop, it isn’t. It’s a forward canter. You can hear the three beats throughout and when he slows down at the end, the beats don’t change, only become slower. There would be a beat change if it was gallop.

@stuartalexander33 жыл бұрын
Why would you want to gallop a horse on ground similar to a road. It won’t be long before your horse goes lame.
@pamkellow16052 жыл бұрын
He's an ex racehorse ,I don't think it enters his mind he's on hard ground !!!
@chookfeather4 жыл бұрын
Umm dude...that is a gallop not a canter.
@JOHN----DOE3 жыл бұрын
Not an improvement in "control skills." Only in "not falling off" skills.
